Poe isn't gonna get paid $15 million a year. That's crazy, and any GM who tries doing that, is going to cripple his team by doing that.

Reasonable to think Poe will get between $7-10 range. But not $15. If he's asking for $15, I'm fine with letting him walk, and let some other GM be a dumbass.

ThaVirus 08-11-2016 04:57 PM

Who has ever argued that Poe would get $15m per anyway?

Suh is slated to get $16m in 2018 and on, FWIW.

CBs look like trash. No separation from Conley or Jones.

If it came down to it, I'd rather have Poe than Berry. True NTs are hard to find. However, a concern with Poe is the status of his back. Is that gonna be a chronic condition or is it more likely just a one time occurence? Gotta make sure that back can stand the rigors of the NFL.

Doesn't answer the question and is pretty inconsequential. Suh isn't a NT. It's like comparing contracts for Justin Houston and Thomas Davis.

Do you read the football thread?

Every ****ing time a defensive lineman signs a huge contract, people throw up their hands and say "Well, there goes Poe!".

It's ridiculous.

RunKC 08-11-2016 05:13 PM

Didn't even realize until today that we have started the same 5 OL all of camp.

That's the best news out of camp so far. Thank god..

Suh will earn $19,100 in 2017 and $26 million in 2018

Excellent point! Hasn't it been mix & match & move everybody around every year that Reid has been here?

I would hope OL continuity all through preseason will help lead to a stronger start to the regular season.

Every fan of the Chiefs should be crossing their fingers, toes and anything else they can cross that the consistency of our Oline continues.

Huge.

I wasn't unhappy about it, but I wasn't nearly as excited as most of this forum's posters.

I had concerns about his clock management in big games, and that has certainly bit this team in the ass twice.

Who are you all most excited to watch Saturday?

I'll go with
1. Tyreek
2. Chris Jones
3. Alex
4. Schwartz
5. March

Nice list, but at this point I'm more interested in backup QB play than in Alex's play. I'm also interested in seeing my favoite punching bag, Dee Ford, attempt to play.

Reid still can't manage the clock or not freak out calling plays every once in awhile though.

Maybe i'm expecting too much wanting a 24 yr vet coach to know when to call a timeout or how to install/run a hurry-up offense.

Not sure if you've noticed, but even Hoodie makes bad play calls occasionally. He's pretty much the best in the league and even he makes bone head calls sometimes. The difference is he has Brady, who can overcome bad calls.
