Agreed. I’d much rather spend a draft pick on one than throw away money at Star.

A 2nd-7th rd pick starting at NT day 1 would be a disaster.

NT is by far the hardest position for a rookie to play physically. We need a vet, whether it be Star or someone else.

John Middlekauf doesn’t think he’s that good and definitely says he wouldn’t pay him. Bay Area guy that’s watched him.

I actually like Johnson but the thing that has always pulled at my leg when it comes to signing him is that he reminds me of Sean Smith. Knowing that, I’d fear that he’s probably got 1-2 really solid years left, at best.

Could be wrong but that’s the vibe I get there.

Dontari Poe sure was a disaster...oh wait he worked out as a rookie. He was a first round pick but there’s talented guys that can play.

I’m fine with a vet. I just wouldn’t pick Star to be that guy. Sign a guy that’s played the position and can rotate with a rookie

I’d rather bring back Poe than sign Star. Give a young guy time to get coached up and work himself into the position.

If Star comes in expensive, Poe might very well be Plan B. Star is stout in the run game and I think Veach/Reid we’re sick of seeing the front 7 getting gashed, thus the reported interest in him. But if he commands $7-9 million per, they might look at Poe who should be cheaper and is arguably more versatile. The Chiefs May get a slight discount as reports have stated Poe really wants to be back in KC. Lotulelei is too one dimensional to garner near double digit millions per. Daquon Jones could likely do what Star can for cheaper, though he is not a true NT.

Eagles TE Trey Burton has good hands and would be cheap. Nice secondary and red zone target. Andy likes 2 TE sets.

If you call $7-8 million per cheap. That will be his market.

Not going to happen at that price.

You're way off base.

Sorry. That's a projection from one website. His production does not point to that salary. Unless John Dorsey signs him, it's not happening.

Trey Burton will absolutely be overpaid in this market. Way too many teams need a TE and theres not enough of them available.

Youre way off base if you think you can get Burton as a #2.

No. Agree to disagree. Time will tell.

Josh Sitton is getting older, but can still play. Might be a good stop gap for guard. Always good to have a another veteran presence on the offensive line.

LB Tahir Whitehead it's looking for a new team. He says he can play in the 3-4 or the 4-3. Been effective in nickel and dime packages.
