It's not that easy when you're picking higher than 10th. most of the big names have already been taken. we draw numbers out of a hat, and then you pick your golfer when your number comes up.

I wasn't giving you shit, you just gave me an opportunity to mention that Toms shot an 81.

Nah, no problem. he is a good golfer though, but he never had a chance, I think he was +2 on Friday.

Yeah, my boy Ogilvy shot a ridiculously high number today as well.

And my other pick, Adam Scott was hampered by some illness - guess maybe a flu bug. I never heard exactly what was up with him.

Again, draw up a list of 20 guys who are good putters and hit a high draw. You'll have a much better shot.

I have two friends that are PGA pros. I was going by their recommendations. I should have told them that Hamas Jenkins from Chiefsplanet says you don't know what you're talking about. my bad. :)

It doesn't take a lot of common sense to know what works at Augusta. And trust me, there are a lot of pros out there that are absolute dumbasses.

For the record, never pick Sergio (bad putter), Toms (overrated), or Furyk (grinders don't do well there historically).

Never pick a guy who uses a belly putter.
Never pick a guy who isn't at least in the top 1/4 of driving distance (this won't work 1/5 years).
Don't pick a righty who hits a cut unless he is looooong off the tee.
Don't pick a guy over 40 (Jack Nicklaus was 20+ years ago).


If you draw a bad number next year, look at Andres Romero, Angel Cabrera, or Paul Casey, but if you want a real dark horse...

We do these pools for every major tournament, so I'll let you pick for me when the next one comes up. it's only 10 bucks with the chance to win $400, and I have never won the pool before. so I'll let you pick for me and I'll pay you in casino cash if we win. how's that?
