If he was just a Broncos coach, that would be one thing. But he's also a cheater who has screwed the Cheifs over and had a hand in some of the most painful Chiefs moments in the last 20 years.

Wow this thread is smoking. Its hard to freaking believe and I am not sure how I feel about this. I have always held Shannahan in such disdain.

Well hopefully with Pioli being the GM and Shanny concentrating on coaching football maybe we can finally make it back to the promised land in my lifetime.

This is going to take some getting used to though.

seriously I've hated the rat since he first came in to Denver. I find it very hard to have a guy who has played against the Chiefs for so long and roll in here like no hard feelings. I guess people hated Herm during his time here so I guess I'll choose the boat where all the haters will be. It'd be like Belichick leaving the Patriots for the Jets. Jets fans would start a riot.

sounds like Tony's still thinking trade... no surprise I guess.

Does anyone know how accurate Schefter has been in the past?

My feeling, NFL.com would rather give the scoop to their own, than to an outsider.

We'll see.

It's not a matter of NFL.com giving anything. It's a matter of people having reliable contacts close to the situation.

Eh why hate just love.

Some of you need to just get over yourselves a little bit. No offense.

Looks like Schefter's in the lead...

Linda Cohn said someone with the Chiefs used the word "targeting", hence the change.

hmmm

I really don't care what any media besides Nicholas Athan have to say about this.

It is amusing to watch Mortensen and Schefter ride his coattails now, though. Where were these guys 20 days ago?

In matters surrounding Shanahan, Schefter has a nearly perfect record... This should give you an idea why
