Start Stanzi at quarterback and Cassel at tight end.

ROFL

Cassel has good size, speed and decent quickness. Tough. Unsure about his vertical but he could be a reliable receiver.

Plus I'd love to see him get pounded into jelly.

the Talking Can 11-07-2011 05:58 AM

nothing this franchise does matters as long as cassel is QB

we're wasting time, just like we have for 30 years, until we draft and develop our own QB...

if you think otherwise you're an aids loving d-bag that deserves to be raped by Gunther's yellow glasses and stupid face....

if you think we need to 'fix the ol' but not the QB position, you are an idiot that deserves to be chopped into tiny pieces by a sword the size of Godzilla..

we have 1 problem: QB

until that problem is solved it is the only problem

Here's why i was on the suck4Luck bandwagon. I would much rather lose a ****ing bunch of games, get a chance at a possible FRANCHISE Qb, than win a few and lose a bunch like we did today.

Who the hell thinks this team is going anywhere while we still have ****ing Matt Cassel leading this team.

Like a few have said its not the fact that it was entirely his fault today. As it wasnt (Barry Richardson needs to go). But if we had an elite QB, we would at least be in that game. Your defense cant continually bail you out.

The most concerning thing for me is how Matt seems to only be able to do one thing at a time. Either avoiding the rush, or looking down field. the few times he did avoid the pressure he lost track of his wrs cause he lowered his eyes..

How often do teams ranked #27 in passing offense have a good quarterback? This is Cassel's third year here, and he has weapons and we are still near the very bottom in the league in our ability to move the ball through the air.

BoneKrusher 11-07-2011 06:53 AM

what we had here was failure to MATRICULATE.

When we had 6 blockers, they would bring at least 7. Now I'm not saying the offensive line played well. What I am saying is that Cassel made them look worse than they actually played.

It is not possible for them to block everyone when the other team brings more blitzers than blockers. The QB is responsible for recognizing that and making adjustments to attack. Those adjustments include hot routes and audibles. I don't think Cassel did any of that.

In the 2nd half, the Dolphins hardly blitzed at all. cassel was so flustered from all the blitzing in the first half that he was seeing the blitz all second half even if it wasn't there. And because of this, most of his passes in the 2nd half were pretty terrible.

Sure, the whole team was flat today. But it starts with the $14 million overpaid asshole that is supposed to lead this team. So **** you, Cassel apologists!

It's the HC job to make sure the team does not come in flat against a lesser team. No team is as superior as their record and no team is as bad as their record may show. It's the NFL and every team must bring their A game regardless of who they play if they are to win and evenmoreso now that FA is like musical chairs anymore(parody). We as fans really don't know what went on behind closed doors at practice this past week. Maybe Haley was a fireball all week or maybe he is guilty of the subconscious let down as well.

When allllllllllllllll facets of the game suck that usually indicates everyone was flat including the coaches.

Lono 11-07-2011 09:25 AM

I knew when we started out running for 6-8 yards on 2nd down and following that up with a pass over and over on 3rd and short every single time that it was going to be a long day. We could have ran the ball down their throat at the beginning, and did on 2nd down at the start of the game but decided to let Cassel suck it up. The play calling was horrendous.

Demonpenz 11-07-2011 09:33 AM

If it made you guys feel better. Cassel came on the screen at the Sporting Game along with bill self, tech nine, etc in a promition to pump up the crowd for the soccer game. He was WILDLY Boo'd in my section, and it sounded like he was boo'd in the rest of the staduim. Thats how bad he is folks, hipsters who don't know dick about American Football will wildly boo Matt Cassel. That has to be a record getting boo'd at two different staduims

Except when you factor in a mandatory 8 games a year being boo'd at and, in yesterdays case, the occasional home game.

Meh.

I Don't care to read through 16 Pages of Cassel Bashing. Already read through 3 years of it and joined in myself.

All i know is, had the line actually protected Cassel early in the game, he wouldn't have shit himself. He probably would've shredded them up pretty well considering our WR's are in beast mode right now. All 3 of them.

This game was on the O-line. Not that Cassel helped the matter.

It is the answer, IMO.

Either he can handle it, or he can't.

And my guess is he can't, and we'll get a new ****ing QB in here.

I've had enough of this safe, play just well enough to get yet another year uncontested at the position.

Shit or get off the ****ing pot.

This.

Been saying it all season. Sink or Swim mother****er, cuz we ain't winning shit unless you become an Olympic swimmer.
