Yost better break it off in these boys' asses over this day off. There's no excuse for this shit, crappy starting pitching or not. At this rate we'll be 30 games out by the All-Star break...which will look GREAT as the host team.

Ill never forget that HR Brett hit off Gossage....i was 9 or 10.....maybe the greatest feeling of my life.

That may have been the 2nd most glorious moment in Royals history after Motley making the catch for the last out in the '85 series. I was 11 when Brett hit that homer. Upper deck at Yankee stadium and everyone knew it as soon as the ball left the bat.

At some point, our bats have to stop sucking so much dick, right?

Its sad....The Royals have completely lost generations of young KC fans. If your under 30, all you have ever known is Royals sucking.

No doubt. One of my greatest memories as a Royals fan.

I was in High School at that time. On that night, I was at a wedding, and my Dad (God bless him) brought a little black and white TV and set it up at our table during the Wedding Reception. We had the most popular table that night:D

Hosmer, Butler and Gordon were 1,2,4 in batting average this spring

Even though I give some of you young guys shit I have to hand it to Royals fans under 30. You guys have never really seen any good times (you were too young if you're under 30-35) but here you are watching and hoping and getting pissed off. I feel just as pissed off... maybe even moreso since I saw the glory days. If we ever do actually achieve "our time" you guys will really deserve the euphoria it will bring.

Go Royals.

I am 29. My best Royals memory was that I was in the left field bleachers for the "Harvey" game.

Seriously, that is my best Royals memory.

Edit: In case some of you don't remember that game, it was the season we started 9-0 or whatever our record was, and as the storms were rolling in that night at the K, Ken Harvey hit a walk-off homer in extra innings. For a few minutes the place felt magical.

Yep. :thumb:

Although, it may be more painful for us, because we know what its like to be part of the excitement of Playoff baseball. There is NOTHING better than your team being a part of a real pennant race, and getting to the playoffs

Normally, I hate Kietz, but he's right. Royals stadium is a joke with all the advertising, the Royals PR is a joke, and worst of all, the Royals team is a joke. The instant Glass finds out that that his Walmart Royals were out-gained by a freaking soccer team, maybe he'll finally realize that what he's doing is never going to work and just sell the team.

It's what the sports fan in all of us lives for.
