It had to be done with SP first because SP had final say in all football matters written into his contract. He had to sign off on every coach, assistant coach, scout and front office football staff in the building.

Clark breaks that, he would have gotten sued by SP. This way, Pioli walks away with 15 million parting gift and the Chiefs finally move on from that BS right 53 Patriot Way garbage.

Well, all the money Scott saved Clark over the last 4 years was likely a good investment for Clark, cause he just used some of it.
