Holy shit, Lions have to go up the staircase to heaven to get to their locker room. Who the hell is the idiot that designed that?

Just my opinion.

It doesn't show because he has terrible mechanics. He's constantly throwing into tight windows, sidearmed and off his back foot. If he learned to plant his feet and step into throws properly, you'd see it. The problem is, after all these years, he hardly ever does it.

If I could take different aspects of QBs in this league to make the ultimate QB, he'd have Stafford's arm.

Man that thing just barely sneaked between the uprights. The drama. Feel bad for the Lions for that bullshit PI non call though.

I don't think you understand what he means by best arm in the league. He's talking about the ability to throw deep and make any throw needed.

Yes, thank you.

Yep, I like Stafford but that is true. Bray does the same thing... which is why I'm not high on him. Actually Bray is probably worse, never steps into his throws.

Not sure if you can really teach it once someone is in the NFL.

Stafford is like the hot chick with her tits hanging out at 2 AM at the bar that you take home in college. You're mesmerized by her physical gifts and when you wake up the next morning, you aren't committing to her because she's dumb as hell.

Yeah, Stafford has an incredible arm, but he's inconsistent, erratic, makes poor decisions constantly that guys with his talents and his tenure should not be making.

They weren't great coming out. He had a tendency to throw flat footed in college. It's gotten much worse over the last four years. A lot of that is on him; he needs to be a master of his craft. However, it is ridiculous that the Lions haven't coached him harder to perfect his mechanics.

Stafford is reaching a fulcrum point in his career. He should be one of the five best QB's in the league, and he's not. Detroit needs to bring in someone to get the best out of him, but he has to be willing to implement those technical changes.

Regardless, they need to completely flush that coaching staff.

Todd Downing is their QB coach, and before that he was a defensive assistant/coffee boy. He's never been a positional coach before, and he's the guy you want coaching Matt Stafford? Are you ****ing kidding me?

I would trade 100 Matthew Staffords for one Alex Smith.

I wouldn't bet against Flacco. He can throw it deep.

And that is your dream. A man behind center that can go deep. You nasty bastard.

Yes, and if the Lions ever hire real coaches for him, he has a shot to improve.

But not while that pack of clowns are there.

McNabb is talking about Stafford's mechanics on FS1 right now.

Of course you would. I'd take Stafford over Smith, but you're way overboard.

I'd like to see an Alex Smith play with a Calvin Johnson though.

Stafford has put up gaudy numbers but it's translated into nothing.

Stafford is still only 25 years old and has two 5,000 yard seasons under his belt. He's a goldmine of untapped potential.

If the Lions make the right hire after Schwartz, the next coach is going to walk into a perfect situation.

They need to do something about their back seven.
