Aaron Murray didn't seize the reps he got like I thought he would. The potential is there but he is going to need time to improve accuracy.

Murray is headed for IR and a season of learning the playbook. Called it from the start.

He signed a 3 year, 13.75 million deal with 3.75 million guaranteed.

If he plays it out, his yearly average is over 4 million a year. I don't care what his year 1 cap hit is.

He's overpaid if he's playing as a rotational backup player.

Is that official? I thought they couldn't do that after they decided not to put him on PUP? He would have to really get hurt and the NFL would have a close eye on it. The Star wrote about it before camp.

It's not official yet, but they can IR Murray for his injury he had last season at Georgia even if he plays the entire preseason (at least that is what the radio fellas say). Because of that, I can see it going down that way. They're not ready for Bray to be anything other than the #3 guy, but they don't want to lose either Daniel or Murray for this season.

It sounds like the KC decision makers thought Bray wasn't going to progress like he did this past summer through OTA's to the present( the leaked rumor that Bray was having problems assimilating the playbook was indicative to that ).Murray was the insurance policy for another development QB who's a complete system's dependent prospect who has the mental aspect for the position.

Mathews started for Maclin last night and was targeted nine times. He had nine receptions for 104 yards. Maclin is going to end up in the slot soon and Mathews will win ROTY imo. If Dee Ford sucks, we are going to be pissed we didn't take Mathews.
