Surprisingly our apartment didn't flood at all. Minor tree damage and no power still though. We did ok considering just up the street looks like a damn war zone. Roofs and fences everywhere and few street lights down

Bob Dole is playing an anniversary party for a local bar owned by a guy who won't be there today because he is working lines in Florida.

Got really lucky with this storm. In Melbourne Beach, I lost a few palms and fence sections. Didn't lose power at all. A friend spent the entire storm in the VAB at the Space Center.

Yo this is ****ed up. No wonder it's so cheap to live here.

You got all your shit duct taped down, Buck?

Buck 10-08-2016 03:38 PM

Patio screen came off. Vinyl siding and aluminum siding has fallen off. At least 10 trees that I can see from inside my house have fallen. The rest of the trees standing have no leaves remaining. The golf course in my backyard is flooded and won't be playable for some time.

My dog is scared out of her mind. The power has been off since 5 am. My grandma who lives near me is about to run out of oxygen (bought a generator just in case and am about to go turn it on for her).

My dog shit in the floor inside because I didn't want to die to a falling tree or get sliced by aluminum paneling.

All in all, pretty shitty. And it's not supposed to stop for another 6 hours.

Just give us electricity back so my grandma doesn't die.

I will post pics tomorrow when the sun comes up and it's safe to go inside. We have 100-200 foot trees that fell down that are quite a site.

Sister-in-law lives in Jax Beach. Evacuated, and is back now. No power yet, but house was spared damage. Lots of large/big trees down. FYI.

They just announced whole county has no electricity and that they're not going to work on it til winds die down to below 35 mph. Everyone should be back up by tomorrow at noon.

I must have missed it, why did you leave SD and move down there again, was it for a new gig?

Two reasons were cost of living in SD and my entire family lives here.
