I'm quoting this again just to point out the idiocy of it.

He said himself he thinks he has several years left...

Somebody should tell Sandy that acceptance is one of the stages of grief.

When the coaching staff of the Kansas City Chiefs feel it's time to give Alex the boot and hand over the reigns to Mahomes, then good. And all of the evidence points to that being sooner rather than later. Them trading up in the draft, Smith's own admission etc. The writing is boldly written on the wall.

I'm not an Alex Smith hater like some here, and I mostly lurk on this forum...but shit man, even with my limited football knowledge even I can see it's time to move on from Smith. I'm thankful he participated in the playoff victory against Houston, but that's about it.

If the team implodes with Mahomes as our QB, then so be it...because we ain't winning shit with Smith.

No risk, No reward.

Logical would be going by what Alex Smith said.

"I think the chiefs are only committed to me for this season"

He made all the right comments yesterday. Cap wise, we only have one significant year committed to him. How many times do I have to explain this to you?

Watch the Good Morning Football video ffs.

Logical would be looking at every QB drafted in the last 15 years and realizing only two sat more than a year and both were behind HOF QBs.

But being an Alex Smith nuthugger has very little to do with logic so this is par for the course.

He has two years left on his contract, that's a commitment. No matter how you try to spin it. It's not a team option year.

I don't give a **** what guys who know nothing about the chiefs say.

Mayock said we were taking Watson one minute before we drafted mahomes.

the statement I wrote yesterday sounded much better

This is not just me saying this, though. It is virtually everyone except you and perhaps one or two other Smith nuthuggers.

Mahomes is the man in 2018. It's how the NFL does business these days.

Common sense would benefit you. Ask your friend next door to explain the cap situation, genius.

Rating and completion percentage are not contributions. Alex and his checkdown loophole are the only reason those 2 stats look acceptable. No one gives a **** about his rating and completion percentage when he's only contributing 190 yards and 1 touchdown.
