He doesn't care. A GM job is a reward for being the guy he was on the field for them. It's corporate nepitism

When was Kelce ever terrible at blocking? Look at the rushing seasons the running backs have had since he became TE1.

He has matured before our eyes, from throwing penalty flags and getting 15 yard penalties, to just doing his job and staying drama free on the field and off.

But, just because the media needed something to talk about during the lead up to the Super Bowl, doesn't mean Kelce was at any point a terrible blocker.
