Hasn’t he had four fumbles in four years? Something like 2-0-2-0?

It was enough of an issue he lost carries.

I think he compliments CEH very well. And could be the best push CEH has had yet. Insurance in case Clyde gets hurt, a lot teams actually have more than one RB, especially when they don’t have an established workhorse. Big upgrade over Williams.

Good thing we have an elite coaching staff to help him work on his issues.

We’ll see how he reacts to new coaching, a bigger OL, and change of scenery.

The Franchise 03-29-2022 11:37 AM

Chiefs head coach Andy Reid said the team will give Ronald Jones a chance to be a "major part" of the offense.

Signed to a one-year, $5 million deal this week, Jones will join Clyde Edwards-Helaire in the Kansas City backfield after being relegated to the bench in Tampa Bay. “He’s a tough runner with good vision,” Reid said of Jones. “I’ll take that, and he needs that opportunity to feel like he’s a major part of this thing. We’ll give him that. I’ve got Clyde in there, too, so it’ll just help take some pressure off and they’ll work together and be a pretty good combo.” Among the most efficient rushers in the league, Jones last year gained 239 yards over expected on inside runs, more than any running back besides Derrick Henry. Jones was second in the NFL in expected points added per rush. He would profile as KC's better early-down runner while Edwards-Helaire likely takes most pass-catching opportunities out of the backfield.

This motherufcker at work said it was $9 mil. I trusted him because he broke the Hill trade to us.

I'm not sure if I respect his game or hate his guts...

I like this signing. I think he's better than what people are giving him credit for.

These are pretty great stats.

Personally I love this signing. We know damn well we need another running back back there. I bet he puts up like a 600 or 700 yard season for us and 5-7 TD's. Would be just fine

McKinnon seemed good with our OLine. He’s fast af and can catch. I just don’t understand why we’re not signing this dude to a cheaper multi year deal…. Not sure if I’m a fan of all these 1 year deals. Is there a reason Burt is offering all these guys 1 year deals again?

I like McKinnon too, but you can't really count on him for a season. I'd love to have him back but with Jones I don't know that is necessary. Plus with so many picks in the draft, it would be pretty easy to draft a kid late and let him develop.
