Yep but I also wouldn't have expected Tranquill to want to come here. If he had other suitors...then it couldn't have been just "come to KC and win a ring". He had to have been comfortable with whatever "roll" Spags told him.

And honestly, it could be that they have no plans of bringing Gay back after this season and they think that Tranquill could be cheaper after his 1 year deal.

I guess it’s possible. This front office never ceases to amaze.

From what I recall of seeing Tranquil play is he seems to always be right in the middle of every play. And many times getting the RB or QB in the backfield.

As Mathew Cassel hangs it up after a 13 year career with the Kansas City Chiefs, that included 3 trips to wild card weekend and 1 trip to super wild card weekend, we usher in a new era. THE JIMMY G ERA!
