Hopkins had a grade 1 MCL tear I read. grade 1 medial collateral ligament (MCL) tear, which is considered minor, usually heals within 1–3 weeks. Treatment for a grade 1 MCL tear may include: Rest, Ice, Anti-inflammatory medicine, and Crutches for a short time.
The time it takes to heal an MCL tear depends on the severity of the injury:
Grade 2 (moderate) tear: Usually takes 4–6 weeks to heal
Grade 3 (severe) tear: Can take 6 weeks or more to heal, and may require surgery
He is not injured.
