LAC are à “good team”?

Last time we played the Texans in a playoff game at Arrowhead.

Houston brought their game uo to another level this week.

They have serious talent on both sides of the ball. We can't just skate by them. We need playoff KC to show.

Certainly you don't overlook any opponent at this stage and everyone at 1 Arrowhead Drive knows that.

But Houston looked horrible for a large part of that game on Saturday eclipsed only by the Chargers being more horrible.

This is a southern dome team, coming into sub freezing temps with a young QB and coach, running a defense that we play well against. I say we do skate by them.

Will Anderson jr is a monster

The Chiefs and the Lakers are my favorite teams. But NFL games are very unpredictable. A random turnover at the wrong time can result in a loss. Also, CJ is a very good QB.

Get ready to taste the sweet nectar of Humphries end zone Chiefs fans!

Quotes like that are why I do my best to not listen him. I like his enthusiasm, but his catch phrases are cringe.

The Chargers, specifically Herbert were not good but they were keeping the Texans from doing anything offensively until...

Texans were backed up against their own endzone, 3rd quarter I believe. It was like 3rd and 19 looking bad for them. High early snap goes right past Stroud, now they are really in trouble but somehow Stroud picks it up, scrambles around and manages to get the pass off, good for a first down!

The offense played well after that. it wasnt just the Chargers are bad. Stroud seemed to wake up and put the team on his back. Had they played like that for the whole game, it would have been an ass whooping.

So... we need to make sure we keep them down for the whole game!

Herbert was so unsettled from the start Saturday. He lost all touch on his throws. I texted friends during the 1Q, saying that eventually one of these piss missals is going to sail right at a Texans DB and sure enough they did.

They aren't gonna get that from Patrick Saturday. It's going to be much more pertinent that their offense plays the game of the year - hell, the game of Stroud's career - in order to win. I just can't see it. If there's one thing I feel tremendously confident in right now, it's that the Chiefs defense isn't allowing Houston to break 20.

What is the weather going to be like Saturday in KC?

Houston's best chance is to jump on KC early. Especially if the Chiefs show rust from not playing a competitive game for three weeks. Their D-line needs to cause havoc to have a chance. On the offensive side, they should target Mixon and Schultz in the flats. Those guys cause matchup problems for our LBs. Mixon had only one reception in the first meeting. I was surprised they didn't target him more.

Cold and sunny. Probably in the 20s. Good football weather.

I'd be surprised at this point if it's not Thuney.

Most of the pressure from the Texans against the Chargers came from the interior. I will be shocked if Thuney isn't at guard, but it's smart to keep them guessing. If Humphries struggles, revert to the obvious plan b.
