Great read. Thanks, 'nilla.

And Smart shoves a fan. LMAO

But coach, you should have heard what he was saying!

Smart willed his way to pushing that fan.
|
Somewhere prison flopper weeps.
|
****ing SOB... I was posting that Marcus Smart stuff in the game day thread. I'm and idiot.

Wonder what that guy said to make Smart snap. Looked like he apologized out of fear right before Marcus pushed him.
In any case, OSU is a shell of what they were at the start of the season. Smart played a fantastic game today and they still couldn't get it done. With that 6 man rotation they're running, they'll be lucky to make the tournament at the rate they're going. |
Smart being a bitch again.
Anyone want to tell me they don't think Smart is a bitch now? |

@LandenLucas33: The fan Marcus Smart pushed should have flopped" 😂😂😂

Have to think he'll be suspended at least a few for this (regardless of what that fan said to him). Texas and OU are going to catch a break this week.

Ford has no control ovet that team let alone a set of ballz. Big 12 will have to step in and discipline smart.
|
OSU is imploding, (has imploded).
Smart should be suspended for at least 3 games, maybe more. I can't remember an incident like this happening in college basketball before. |
Travis Ford doing his post game press conference... saying he didn't see Smart push the fan, needs to see the video to see what happened. He looks somewhat shaken up.
|
Is he getting kicked off the team?
|
video yet?

Also apparently hates being called whatever the guy called him. Quote:

And regardless of what the old guy said, Smart shouldn't have pushed him. Stop guzzling Smart jizz. |
We don't know that the fan called him anything.

Wondering what the fan said. Something terrible/racist I can understand. Just usual fan heckling then Smart then he was way out of line. True to form ESPN is all over this.

But he's dealt with a lot of shit before during these games from fans and never reacted like that. The fact that he did this time really does make me wonder what was said. |

It's still no excuse. Think about the terrible stuff that the antlers have said over the years to KU players and none of them ever did anything like that. The TT fan couldn't have said any worse. |
Smart Not
What a huge fail move by Smart....
Just ****ed your team and teammates for the next few games.... What a ****ing idiot... |
Quote:
He's obviously going to be suspended regardless, though. |

Doesn't matter what the fan said. You don do that as a player.
Just like the malice in the palace. |

You don't do what Smart did. I'm sure the fan said something really stupid... but you don't attack fans. It doesn't matter what happens. You can't do that.

Marcus not-so Smart

Marcus.
Shaka. Why are all the stupid douchebags named Smart in college basketball? |

But a player putting his hands on a fan for any reason (court storming notwithstanding) is bad on the player no matter his past. |

Other players are frustrated. Other players hear fans talk. They don't go into the stands and put their hands on them. He's a great player that's for sure. But he's putting together a portfolio that's starting to show he's not as mature as once thought and that his emotions control him. |

The other problem that won't be talked about tomorrow... Marcus Smart has decided he's bigger than the team. It's a shame.

Do you think this Marcus Smart situation is substantially different than what Ron Artest did 10 or so years ago?

big 12 investigating this matter now

1) We don't know that this guy is an asshole. 2) We don't know what was said. What's with all the assumptions? Should we also assume that the chair said something derogatory to Smart that made him kick it two weeks ago? |
Quote:
On November 19, 2004, Artest was at the center of an altercation among players and fans during a game in Auburn Hills, Michigan, between Artest's Pacers and the home team Detroit Pistons. The brawl involved Artest, Pistons center Ben Wallace, Artest's teammates Jermaine O'Neal and Stephen Jackson, several other players, and spectators including Pistons fan John Green[10] and Pistons fan A. J. Shackleford.[11] The fight resulted in the game being stopped with less than a minute remaining. Jermaine O'Neal, Jackson and Wallace were suspended indefinitely the day after the game. A day later, the NBA suspended Artest for the rest of the regular season, plus any playoff games. Artest missed 86 games, the longest suspension for an on-court incident in NBA history.[12] |

Try to make out what Smart mouths as he's getting pulled away from his teammates (8-9 seconds). |

Doug Gottlieb @GottliebShow 1m
Jeff Orr to a #TexasTech friend of mine via text "I kinda let my mouth say something I shouldn't have,I feel bad" #MarcusSmart https://pbs.twimg.com/media/BgAtibrCYAANfaZ.jpg Hmm, yeah, wonder what that could have been. |
I don't doubt that one bit. I'm sure whatever the guy said was probably terrible. He's not the good guy, there may not be a good guy.
Do remember Gottlieb played for Oklahoma State. He is not going to have an unbiased view of this. |
Quote:
As much as some don't necessarily want to believe it, as evidenced by his actions of late, Smart isn't showing to be a mature player when things don't go his way. That's not necessarily a bad thing when it makes players elevate their game to higher levels, but when it causes reactions and results like we are seeing from him, it is. |
@GottliebShow: "wasn't vulgar or the N Word" another text from Orr - #MarcusSmart
I knew he didn't say anything like that. He would've acted differently. |
