Edibles take longer to kick in but has a time release extended effect. Smoking is quick but wears off.

Hopefully you're asleep when it wears off but there are plenty of people with a small piece on their nightstand for middle of the night hits.

Un/fortunately you'll have to experiment to see what works for you. If yoi can tolerate hundreds of milligrams of edibles naturally its probably way more cost effective to just smoke.

If you're a 1 gummy bear kind of date, just eat it with dinner. A nice fatty dinner.

Would the same hold true for pain relief? I have a shoulder injury that makes it hard to sleep at night. I've wondered if cannabis would help with both the sleeping and pain at night. Over the counter doesn't really help and opiates dick up my sleep. I just have no clue how to approach it re: dosages or even what to get. Wife is okay with edibles but not smoking.

Silly question but are those edibles sold at shops really intense? I remember reading stories they didn't sound like fun.

The problem with edibles is that you have less control. Smoking is more subtle so it is easier to control. Edibles are like doing shots of tequila while smoking is like sipping wine.

edibles **** me up. lol I had OG Peach Rings that were 150MG. I was slightly shaking at one point and understood that one cop called 911 thinking he was gonna die lol.

My problem right now.....is that edibles aren't available.

Then just smoke. Or make you own edibles. You will never know the dosage on your own homemade edibles. It can turn out shitty or not-so shitty. With packaged edibles you never have a true guarantee of the dosage is what says it is either, but more consistent.

Smoking is quick and foolproof.

I'm smoking Headband hybrid, a mix of OF Kush and Sour Diesel.. It's great...

Hybrids are definitely my favorite.

It is absolutely insane to me the efficacy of cannabis on both pain relief and insomnia, especially considering that people take heavy opiates and benzos to help with the same.

As we move into more widespread acceptance of herbal medicine, this is just going to get better. We know someone in steamboat who has been making various medicinal tinctures for a long time, and a lot of other herbs can have synergistic effects with the cannabis. You can also age the cannabis linger to increase sleepiness effect. Anyway, for people looking for help with insomnia or pain relief, I would definitely recommend giving it a try. If you can find a quality herbalist who produces tinctures specific to your symptoms, all the better. That may be difficult if you still live in a prohibition state though.
