Deiter's cheap, willing and knows what the team is all about. Perhaps they see value in him that we don't. But they are not sitting around going "If we cut Dieter, we're gonna make Patrick angry, and then he won't play good for us. Better keep 'ol Gherig around..." Get a grip. |

Everything I've heard about him so far is positive and not just from MU fans. |

Oh and Jeremiah Owusu-Koramoah not only refused vaccination he then got Covid as well.
And I guess Marshall is flashing. https://www.panthers.com/news/terrac...-early-in-camp |

I don’t think Deiter’s wife and Brittany are even friends anymore. I noticed they don’t hang out as a couple at all anymore (they haven’t for quite some time), and they don’t even follow each other on IG anymore.
They must’ve had a falling out. |
Why is Dirty Dan even on the roster at this point? He's not worth the COVID risk for losing a game.

But perhaps this isn't the thread for that. So let's just say that every one of our draft picks this year, including the one traded for Orlando Brown, appears to be a freakin home run. |

Yea it’s not like the guy has made several plays in the playoffs to help us get to the SB the last 2 years! Your football takes are consistently awful. |
The past is the past.
He's not even a starter at this point. Why risk a COVID L? |

I definitely preferred to let him walk and draft or sign a younger more athletic replacement, but since we had other needs, it made sense to bring him back for 1 more year. |

I love Sorensen for the plays he's made.
And not *at all* getting political, but purely based on the current rules on hand, I have no problem if the Chiefs decide to move on because of the risk of carrying an unvaccinated person on the roster, when 95% of the team is vaccinated. Again, not trying to stir the pot or debate fairness, freedoms, etc... Purely football and the rules - I'm cool if they need to make the cut if he's like one of 3-4 guys to not get the shot. That said, I'm not sure we have the depth at that position yet to make that call, so I doubt it ends up happening. |

Frankly I'm glad you did because now I feel that Dieter is on the roster based on his own merits and not the demands of a QB.

little chippy there at the end w/ Jones and Niang. Good rep for the rook.

Very solid rep for Niang on this play vs Jones. Handles the power well, and even replaces his hands has he anchors his base into the ground. Niang blocking Chris Jones and frustrating him is a good sign in my opinion

Chris being chippy is good too. Means he is in it to win each rep and gets pissed when he doesn't. |

Gehrig Dieter has caught a pass in an NFL playoff game. For a first down, even.
He costs nothing. He knows the system. He works hard. He’s been in the system and on the practice squad for a couple years. And most importantly, he was available. He’s participating in training camp because Veach and Reid want him there, not because Mahomes wants him. Get some perspective, people. |
Boldin having a good day today is really good to see.

In before Dieter becomes our Ed McCaffery.

Dieter's gal: "I just wish that Patrick would say something to Andy about my Gherig and how underutilized he is...he's probably one of the best on that team yet they never use him" Brittany: (spit take) "Ummm...well, it's a business you know..." Dieters' gal: "I know, but Patrick could say SOMETHING...I mean Gherig doesn't make shit and you guys are rolling in it. Just seems that a real friend would help him out is all". Brittany: "Help him out? Shit, the only reason Gherig is on the ****ing squad is because they're afraid to make Patrick mad by cutting his worthless ass!" Dieter's gal: "Well, if that's the way you feel about it, you and your overrated husband can **** right off!!" Brittany: "You first bitch!" Enter Patrick and Gherig, after looking at yet another pair of shoes in Patrick's collection: Patrick: "*slight hiccup...he's had a few* Hey, what's going on?" Dieter's gal "Gherig, we're leaving!" Gherig: "uh...OK. Thanks for having us over guys...uh...so see you at practice?" Patrick: "Uh...sure...later man". Brittany: "Don't let the door hit your worthless ass on the way out!" Or something like that I bet... |

I get that everyone loves Dirty Dan, I do too.
But he's not exactly John Lynch, and he's 31 and a free agent next offseason. Do you really want to gamble losing a tiebreaker for HFA because his dumbass won't get vaccinated? I'm pretty sure Juando can catch tipped INTs just as well. |
