If Thuney starts at LT that’s our best OL out of position and a backup LG replacing him.
If that’s what happens, why wouldn’t Harbaugh line up Bosa and Mack on the left side to expose that weakness? |
I mean, I'm kind of excited for decent tackle play. This will make a world of difference to Mahomes.

Caliendo has some starts under his belt at RG so I wouldn't be overly concerned. Shit: Never mind he has zero career starts. Oooof. |

Man this doesn't look great but on the 3rd play here if Kelce doesn't shit the bed that's a TD probably. We had 2 TEs on that side and they still got their ass handed to them. Good lord. <blockquote class="twitter-tweet"><p lang="en" dir="ltr">Here are the 3 Pass Plays with Joe Thuney at LT and Mike Caliendo at LG after Wanya Morris was pulled out of the game <a href="https://t.co/uW1WyEFm5I">pic.twitter.com/uW1WyEFm5I</a></p>— DMac Wake (@DMacWake316) <a href="https://twitter.com/DMacWake316/status/1862867275939762505?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw">November 30, 2024</a></blockquote> <script async src="https://platform.twitter.com/widgets.js" charset="utf-8"></script> |
If Kelce doesn't whiff BADLY on that third play, its six
|
Kelce needs his ass ripped for that. What the **** is he even doing there?!!

Damn that was awful. |

Instead of hanging back and waiting for a blitzer to reveal himself, he decided pre-snap that the guy directly in front of him was coming and the guy to his right was bluffing. If I'm betting, I'd say he was 'guess hitting' and got the fastball when he was looking curve. Which is why you never look curve. If you sit fastball and get curve, you can hang back and fight it off. If you're sitting curve and get fastball, it's by you before you can react. Kelce had that guy on the outside in a clear blitz stance with an open angle at the QB. THAT'S your immediate problem. That's the first guy he should've focused on because if that guy comes and you're not ready for it, it's all over but the crying. Meanwhile if you focus on him and he IS bluffing, then the guy in front of him comes, you have time to react and still salvage the rep. Guessed curveball, got the heat. Just a bad thought process, IMO. |

What the hell is with taylors starting stance. He has pencil legs and just gets thrown back with any bull rush.
Thuney looks comical at lt. A tiny thick guy. Will get destroyed over the course of a game but at least he has the talent to slow them down a second with his hand work |
Quote:
Morris was always coming back and reaching out with his outside shoulder to draw a punch and then trying to body the guy. So DEs started waiting for that outside hand and just swiped it away. Thuney went with the inside hand to draw some activity then got square and got ridden backwards. By no means a good rep, but not a predictable one. That's where Morris is getting killed. Because his reps are just just too predictable at this point. Thuney, while not as agile (or really as powerful) as you'd want at that position, is incredibly technical. You're not going to get him making the same first move over and over and over again. You may beat him, may be him with some regularity even, but you won't beat him as BADLY or as quickly as Morris was getting beaten. And that's all any of us have been asking for over the last several weeks. It was what had us calling for Morris to go back in to begin with. Morris HAD been losing slowly. Until he wasn't. |
Quote:
Thuney's playing with a guard's stance and if he is asked to play out there on Sunday, he's going to be really susceptible to speed because that stance isn't conducive to a rapid kick-slide and turn. |
I'm not a fan at all of putting Thuney at LT. It disrupts the rest of the line.

Joshua Brisco is pissed at Clay lol

It’s currently Humphries job to lose, he couldn’t have asked for a better scenario.
Let’s see what he's got! |
Huh? They're just taking the piss out of how stupid it was.

I'm sure we all remember Will Shields pulling spot duty at LT here and there back in the day, and while he performed credibly it still didn't look just quite right |

just guessing, because my knowledge of OL play is basic at best, but isn't his first responsibility not to let anyone beat him to the inside? I think he just got fooled because he thought he was going to block the guy to the inside, then by the time he realized that the outside rusher was coming, it was too late and he ended up letting him go by untouched. |
If DJ is even average Sunday I'm going to have an erection longer than the Morris/Kingsley pressures allowed list.

would agree with most of this. I will say though that OTs can generally play at the top of their games into their mid-30s, so being 30 as an OT isn't/shouldn't be that big of a deal. |

Basically what I was saying right after the game. Thuney wasn't ready to play LT; they just threw him over there mid-way through a game. Of course he wasn't going to be comfortable. I was just glad he didn't whiff any of his blocks, given the spontaneous nature of how he ended up playing LT in that game. |

A copypasta is a block of text copied and pasted to the Internet and social media. Copypasta containing controversial ideas or lengthy rants are often posted for humorous purposes, to provoke reactions from those unaware that the posted text is a meme. The term copypasta is derived from the computer interface term "copy and paste",[1] the act of selecting a piece of text and copying it elsewhere. Usage of the word can be traced back to an anonymous 4chan thread from 2006,[2][3] and Merriam-Webster record it appearing on Usenet and Urban Dictionary for the first time that year.[1] |
That whole trend is so ****ing dumb.

|
I know what copypasta is but I still don't find it humorous, not in this case. It's just reposting false information. Copypasta may be for the purpose of humor but this attempt wasn't funny.

You should I know I've been a Chiefs fan for 55 years. I've tailgated every game at Arrowhead and can finish a case of Busch Light before kickoff. My burnt ends are the best in the country and I am the best grill master in all of Kansas City. You are nothing to me but a bullshit bandwagon fan that probably loved the Cowboys 10 years ago, you dumbass. I will make you wish you were a Rams fan you stupid little shit, mark my ****ing words. You think you can get away with saying that shit to me over the Internet? Think again, ****er. I am on the phone with my son who graduated at the top of his class at ITT and he is tracing your IP as I speak so prepare yourself for a beating the likes of which Lot A hasn't seen since December 2013. You’re ****ing dead, kid. Me and my Camaro can be anywhere, anytime, and I will knock you the **** out with my bare hands. Not only am I really ****ing good at parking lot fights, but I have access to the entire arsenal of the local Bass Pro Shops and I will use it to its full extent to wipe your miserable ass off the face of the continent, you little shit. If only you could have known what unholy retribution your little “clever” comment was about to bring down upon you, maybe you would have held your ****ing tongue. But you couldn’t, you didn’t, and now you’re paying the price, you goddamn idiot. I will shit fury and KC Masterpiece all over you and you will drown in it. You’re ****ing dead, kiddo. |

With the viral success of this tweet and the copypasta's metamorphosis into a new form of meme, this will surely spawn even more original iterations of the copypasta. In the future we could see this copypasta altered to include other position groups, and perhaps even coaches. It's possible fans of other sporting leagues might also pick up on it now and suit it for their needs. What we do know is this copypasta is here to stay, and will be enjoyed by football fans for many years. If you choose not to enjoy the copypasta, that is your right, but please understand many find it entertaining, and attempts to subdue that enjoyment are not in the interests of good fellowship or a polite society. Have a wonderful day. |
