Suck That

Td throws aren't in A Smith's DNA.

Don't expect that to continue.

Geno also was his teams leading rusher with about 60 Yards

I'd take Alex Smith 1,000 times over Geno Smith. This thread is stupid imo.

The Geno butthurt in this thread is SO ****ing delicious.

"He was given the game"!
"Sanchez beat Tampa too"!

Geno Smith: Rookie taking his lumps
Alex Smith: will not get better than what he was for San Fran

Are you gonna pay Claynus royalties for shamelessly ripping off his act here?

So desperate for attention

Fair enough, but if Alex plays here in KC like he did last year in San Fran, that ain't too shabby.

He's much better than Cassel thus far and I'm in his corner because like it or not he's our QB. I will root for the guy but do not expect miracles. Hopefully Bray can fulfill the role of QBOTF.

LMAO It is so awesome. Truth be told I thought there was no way possible with the team he's on he could pull off what he did this week.

Alex Smith showed me basically exactly what I expected yesterday. He was fine. He didn't make any huge mistakes. He checked down a lot. He showed good short-area accuracy.

He was OK working from a mostly clean pocket and made some nice, short throws. His defense set him up with short fields multiple times, and the O took advantage.

It wasn't an "Oh wow" performance, but it's one that I suspect will be far more normal for Smith as a Chief than an actual "Oh wow" performance.

I didn't see any of the Jets game, but from what I heard yesterday from analysts, what I read, and what I can glean from highlights, it was a performance that highlighted some of his strengths and also some of his weaknesses.

He still has a ways to go in terms of development and being ready to be an NFL starter (see his rough start). But he also has a lot of physical ability and is an accurate passer, as we saw from his final passing numbers.

I'm sure the anti-Geno crowd was licking its chops after his early fumble and INT. The way he played the rest of the game/finished the rest of the game is something that he shouldn't be able to do, if all the criticisms of his character (he's a whiner/pouter/blames his teammates/gives up) were true.

Pretty much what I'm thinking. I'm completely willing to support Alex if he plays well consistently. But yeah, I'm really hoping we have something special with Bray.

I hope so to, but it would be nice for once to hedge our bets at the QB position and have Geno or EJ paired with Bray to compete for the position with Alex next year or in 2 years.

It also isn't enough to win in the playoffs without a legendary defense.

What's the point, really, of "Win now" if its expiration date is the end of the regular season?

I was on that bandwagon and Hope Geno does well so i can throw that back in some faces(Namely a Giants fan at work). I am however a Chiefs fan first and it wouldn't bother me a bit if Alex Smiff sniffed an MVP here. :D
