We asked for Quinn and the Rams said they were not interested in making Quinn part of the deal.

Are we sure it was the rams that said no?

Maybe KC said no.

I’d guess something will leak, but I don’t believe it will leak from the Chiefs’ side. They certainly don’t want it to, I don’t think.

I kind of figured reading the tea leaves they think the fans are gonna be pissed at what they get back

yeah there is, because if an extention is not agreed to we don't have a deal.

If it was just draft picks we would know the package. Chiefs can't talk about the deal, because obviously we are still working on it.

Eh, I don’t know man. We knew the Smith trade details. They can leak the info

Looks that way.

Again, makes me think there's another player involved.

If it were just picks, there's really no reason for the league to hold them back from announcing.

Time to start following most of the Rams players on Twitter and wait for some clues.

All the big guys have confirmed no player though

I’m guessing the chiefs are getting back a couple thirds and figure the fans are gonna be pissed

Quinn is under contract until 2020. There's nothing to work out.

I think its Donald.

That’s what I’m wondering.

Because Chiefs?

Come on, man. Veach nailed the KPL, Ragland and Smith trades.

Why do you suddenly believe that he screwed the pooch on the Peters trade?

No one has announced half the trade. Some details may have leaked, but nothing has been announced to my knowledge.

Peters is the other half of the trade man.

Getting an extension for Aaron Donald “not a top priority”

I can't imagine the Rams trading Aaron Donald plus picks for Marcus Peters.

He's the cornerstone of their defense.

Hoover 02-24-2018 10:49 AM

I think we are the team treading for a player that needs an extention. Like Donald. When you trade for a player that is cheap and controlable for a couple years its easy to annouce really no different than a draft pick.

I think Veach is addressing a hole on this defense, which is probably the Dline, not OLB where we have Houston and Ford.

Schefters said he doesn’t think it’s a first round pick, the rams don’t currently have a 2nd and apparently they were the only team really interested in trading for him.

That equals trading from a spot not very good and not likely very valuable

dirk digler 02-24-2018 10:49 AM

I would also be very surprised if the Rams were working on an extension for him. I would think they would want to see how it goes this year before committing anything other than his 5th yr $9m option due in May.

All the big guys cluster****ed the Alex deal too.

Notice how they've all gone radio silent?
