Here is the absolute minimum expectations for me for Fisher this year:

1. He must be an absolute beast of a run blocker. All of the scouting reports say he is. And if you take a RT in the top 5, he better be. This is job requirement #1 for a RT anyway: ****ing maul people.

2. He should be no worse than average as a pass blocker. Ideally, he'd be a stud, but I'm willing to accept there may be a transitional phase for a guy making a switch. Even so, at NO POINT should he be a liability in pass protection.

NFL comparison: 2004/2005 John Welbourn (who was an absolute beast at RT for us those years)

I doubt the average NFL fan can remember who was the #1 overall pick in the 2013 draft.

LMAO Dude, change the tampon.

Small school?

I think Fisher will bust but it will be covered by a solid foundation of guys like Kelce, Davis, Johnson panning out and being huge contributors.

It would be absolutely hilarious (and awesome) if the Chiefs ended up with the best left tackle and QB in the entire 2013 draft.

QB's taken in the 7th round or later have won more Super Bowls than those taken in the second round. Off the top of my head, Bart Starr (17th), Johnny Unitas (9th), Roger Staubach (9th), Kurt Warner (undratfed) and Brad Johnson (9th round).

Second rounders were Drew Brees, Ken Stabler and I guess, Brett Favre.

That's not what you initially said but regardless, CMU is an FBS school. It's not ****ing Division II.

O.city 08-04-2013 03:17 PM

It is FBS, but it's not as if he were playing the Mingo's and Jarvis Jones of the world as Joeckel was.

However, the fact that he was from CMU doesn't really matter in terms of performance.
