Right but the Rams haven't announced the trade, nor have the Chiefs.

Someone leaked the trade to Schefter but even he doesn't know the compensation.

He's the cornerstone of their defense.

They won’t pay him. Haven’t yet

@sullyfootball whoever the @$$@ that is tweeted his source is saying chiefs are getting 2018 4th and 7th round and 2019 3rd picks from the rams. This better be a joke

Come on, man. Veach nailed the KPL, Ragland and Smith trades.

Why do you suddenly believe that he screwed the pooch on the Peters trade?

Maybe we just really had to get rid of him and they obviously can’t explain why (Sauto’s story), so they know it’s going to look bad without the context.

O.city 02-24-2018 10:51 AM

They aren’t getting Donald back

They’d have to extend him and that extension would be unreal.

PittStGorilla 02-24-2018 10:51 AM

This probably is not relevant, but Aaron Donald should be in KC through the weekend. Clark hosts the NFL 101 Awards every year and Aaron Donald will receive honors for NFC DPOY at the banquet this evening.

What if the Chiefs traded Peters and a pick or two for Donald and a pick or two?

Notice how they've all gone radio silent?

Sort of

But they had it pretty quick

The logical options are Trumaine Johnson and Sammy Watkins, who are both set to become UFA's.

Not even sure how that would work. You're getting exclusive bargaining rights with a player as a condition of a trade?

That equals trading from a spot not very good and not likely very valuable

We are still trading a top CB. There is value even if only a couple teams were serious bidders.

I've got to say I'm going to trust Veach on this. When we actually know the deal then we can evaluate.

If we are not getting the Rams first rounder, we are getting a player and picks. I don't care what the NFL reporters tweeted 22 hours ago.

doomy3 02-24-2018 10:53 AM

I’m pretty sure 31 teams weren’t interested. The Rams were bidding against themselves. That certainly is part of the equation here, so I’d temper expectations. Can’t imagine a scenario where Donald is coming back. That’s the definition of wishful thinking.

Remember, this trade isn’t about receiving quality back, it’s about the Chiefs believing they HAD to get rid of Peters, even if that meant release.

He’s all happy they traded him. Why the **** does he care what KC got?

Maybe KC said no.

They interviewed some beat writer for the Rams on Sirius yesterday and he said the Rams said no to Quinn.

I wonder if Tavon Austin could be in ?? We have to be receiving a player I would think.

ThTs probably about right

staylor26 02-24-2018 10:54 AM

I keep seeing people speculating the highest pick in 2018 that we get will be their 4th. Assuming it’s only draft picks, if we don’t at least get the Rams 3rd this year as part of the trade, I’m going to be ****ing furious.
