Exactly.

We don't even know if they are legitimately in this thing.

You forgot hates Russell Wilson and hates Seattle.

I refuse to believe this has a real chance of going down.

Too good to be true. I honestly think we’ll win it all if we pull it off.

A few of the more famous midseason trades from back in the day.

Cowboys traded Hershel Walker to the Vikings

LA Rams traded Eric Dickerson to the Colts

Mark Haynes to the Raiders to team with Lester Hayes.

I'm not sure if we'll win it all, but it let's us get to the Superbowl and roll the dice.

Given that, I was thinking 2nd and 5th max, but now I'm not sure if I'd do a first, or a 2nd and a 3rd. Getting this guy would just be so huge and its affects would last for a few years.

Or out of it either. It's all just rumors.

I think that references to "price" not only apply to the compensation Seattle is looking for, but also what Thomas is set to make for the rest of the year.

Every week that goes by, his pro-rated salary for the rest of the season goes down like a half million dollars.

The longer we wait, the more likely the asking price goes down as Seattle gets desperate, and the lower his pro-rated salary is for the rest of the season - getting us under the cap this year without any major moves or restructures.

They won’t do the trade without a new deal in place

An agreement in place. The can agree, in principle, to terms but he can't sign a deal until after he's traded.

Yes

But his cap hit with Seattle doesn’t matter for the chiefs this year. They aren’t giving up much for a half year rental

If that were the case, the deal would be already done and ET would be a Cowboy.
