Up and Brothers Bloom next weekend. I may skip Terminator after all to save some $$$.

I made the mistake of watching Get Smart on HBO the other night. There's two hours I can't ever get back.

I just finished watching Blindness. Pretty decent. It's a story about an infectious blindness that takes hold of a city, where the infected are quarantined and the society within the quarantine walls deteriorates. Kind of a commentary on human and sociological frailty, trust and family.

It's worth a cheap rental - find it at a Redbox.

Sounds like a great title for a documentary on the Field Generalship of Herman "****lestick" Edwards.

I let it play on HBO as I was doing more important things; glad I did not rent.

I got it as a free rental. Tried to convince Blockbuster to let me have another movie. They wouldn't go for it.

ROFL

I once returned a board game to Wal-Mart. They asked me what was wrong, and I said, "It sucks." They took it back. Don't know why rental places won't. :D

ROFL So for future reference, thee "This free movie sucked balls and I demand a replacement until my entertainment needs are fully met"-tactic does not work with Blockbuster?

Capitalist swine!:cuss::D

Now you know how I felt when given a free movie pass to be used within a small window of time, and the only thing playing that did not immediately make want to say "**** it" altogether and go home was "Click".

Oh how I wish I would have said "**** it" altogether and went home.

Fire Me Boy is basically customer service's worst nightmare.

Correct. Works at Wal-Mart. Does NOT work with Blockbuster.

For the record, I didn't expect it to work. I actually "asked" in a joking manner.

There's actually a fair amount of truth to that, C. You really have no idea.

In my defense, I'm very principled, and I have been known to cut off my nose to spite my face in their defense.

It one of the things many people both like and hate about me.

I don't even want to think about what you're like on the phone with DTV or internet companies.

I've been without a home phone for six years because Sprint wanted to charge me $10.50 to add "and Kim" to my listing in the phone book. That's $1.50 per character. Then the rep told me it's dictated by state, some states don't charge anything, while some charge $5 and others charge $10.50. So I spoke to her supervisor and explained the situation, and I felt it was ridiculous that some states could get a listing change for free while others had to pay. Then explained that if the charge was not reversed, they would get their one-time $10.50 fee, but they'd lose the $25 monthly bill. So they got their $10.50 fee (paid over a period of three months by check), but since I've not been with them have lost in the area of $1,800. Maybe they should have eaten the $10.50?

Just finished Mongol... really good. I'd recommend it. Foreign fare on the early life of Genghis Khan.

Went to see the new Night at the Museum (with the kids). It was about like the first one...nothing terribly new really. Amy Adams is quite fetching, and Hank Azaria is good as usual. The kids really enjoyed, which was the important thing.

Also watched Paul Blart: Mall Cop with the kids. They liked it, I thought it was just awful. I like Kevin James, and he was a funny a handful of times. Everything/Everyone else was terrible.

The wife and I will probably wait to rent Night at the Museum 2. I like Kevin James, and Paul Blart looked like one of the dumbest things put on celluloid this millennium, including Battlefield Earth.

I don't watch anything dubbed, always subtitled.
