Man, I've still got my head in the clouds about that game. What a game. Wiggins nasty. That fade away J was absolutely unguardable. ****. I am way more excited about this team now than I was before the game.

I'll gladly have my crow for saying we would lose to Puke by 20.

Goddamn the sky is the limit for this team.

I went full homer before the game and predicted a six point win.

Eleven feels much, much better.

LMAO

Man, it feels great to beat the piss out of Duke. And UK losing right before our game just made it a perfect night.

This team is going to be an absolute blast to watch this year. It's so, so very fun to have a team that I can put blind faith into and I'm always rewarded with an entertaining and winning season.

HCBS for President! I'd vote for him.

If you told me before the game one team would shoot 27-35 from the ft line and the other 16-28, I'd have known it'd have been Duke with the advantage. Shocked they missed so many, I think they were tired from our defense

Bill can run for Prez after a couple more decades of running shit in Lawrence.

Me too. I mentioned to my buddy that it is nice to watch the other team implode from the freethrow line for once.

I didn't think Duke played Duke ball well. They didn't move the ball and execute on Offense like I thought they would. And quite honestly, rotate the ball a couple of times, and for the moment anyway, there is likely to be somebody out of position.

OTOH Parker was off the charts good for them, so maybe them running the offense through Parker served them better than running some sets.

Did anyone else notice Parker fade at the end? He shot very poorly towards the end, IIRC he even airballed one, and that last foul on Wiggins was just poor defense. As good as he was in the first half, he was ineffective in crunch time.

He's clearly out of shape. You would assume that if he lost about 15 pounds he could sustain his effective shooting for much longer. But damn how much does he remind you of Paul Pierce?

It's almost not worth arguing with someone when they're so far from being right that there's literally no possibility of rationally discussing things. How do I convince you, when obvious, inexorable facts do not?

It's like you're saying that the sun rises and falls because your pet hamster eats popcorn. Your assertion is so ludicrous that there is no possible way to convince you otherwise.

Embiid is going in the draft. High. Really ****ing high. Probably top five after Wiggins, Randle, Parker, and Exum. But any of those five could shift around.

There is no center in all of college basketball who comes anywhere near having his natural ability and potential.

He.
Is.
Gone.
Mark.
It.
Down.

I didn't really think about conditioning. That could very well be the problem, but I would think they would work to rectify that before the season started. Typically you don't see college players out of condition to the point they're throwing up airballs.

Kid is ****ing good though. He'll win some games for Duke.

@MagicJohnson: I don't think I've ever seen as much talent in 2 college basketball games as I saw last night in Chicago.

He's coming off a fractured foot in July of '12 so it wouldn't be all that surprising if he's still getting his conditioning back to where it should me.

Just be glad we didn't see much of Kentucky's bench. Their fans were debating this summer, seriously, whether their 2nd team would be Final Four-worthy.

Prison Bitch 11-13-2013 09:55 PM

MSU-Kentucky second highest rated non con hoops game in Espn history with average of 4M viewers. The late game did 3M. Kansas City was the 5th highest market for game one and as you'd expect, #1 for the late:

Meanwhile, at CSKA basketball, Sasha Kaun pulls down a 1.6 mill salary, and has all of his living expenses (apartment, car, meals) paid for by the club.

Yeah, Sasha won't ever amount to jack.

Won a bronze medal with the national team last year too. First Jayhawk to play in the Olympics since Danny, gotta be doing something right.
