So, I don't know if anyone here has heard of the 1st Phorm Commander (or Bliss for the ladies) Go Packs. They're a dietary supplement that helps burn fat, curb cravings, and boosts energy. I just had a couple of guys from Supplement Superstores come into the office with free samples. SCORE!

I'm headed out of town this weekend, and I won't have access to a gym for four days. I got eating and exercise tips from my trainer last night. Now, I am now in possession of enough samples for me to take during the weekend. Talk about great timing!

Yep! Loving every minute of it. Wish I would have discovered the benefits of lifting 20 years ago. I can't believe I used to give you all crap.

That's one of my biggest complaints as well and it probably applies to most people.

I wish that I knew all of this 20 years ago. :banghead:

I didn't start taking care of myself until I was 33.

Yes supposed to work really well. I had some samples of it from them and it seemed to be a good thermo with out speeding you up too much. I know those guys at SS and they will steer your right. The owners have been working on this for quite a while and I believe they developed a good one.

I hear what you're saying, but I know whats worked for me in the past, does it maybe take me a bit longer eating plenty of carbs? I don't doubt it for a second. But it does achieve fat loss without going on some diet I prolly wont stick to long term. I'm in this for the long haul this time so the results don't have to instant and dramatic.

I'm not necessarily aiming for the ripped out Tony Horton look at this point anyway, although it could easily morph into that at a later time, after I've gotten back to a solid base level.

Yeah, I try to eat just a tiny bit of something before any workout, gotta fuel the fire on my Scotty the Body Power Hour!

BTW, you don't have to spend a ton of money on your protein intake. Plants do have protein. Beans FTW

Beans have a high carb count as well.

And are also decent with regards to resistant starch (gut bug food).

I try to add beans to at least 1 meal per week.

I have beans close to once per day. They have a ton of fiber, so even though they have a fairly high carb ratio, the glycemic index in good because of the fiber content.

My business partner had a heart attack several weeks ago. He's on 54, and pretty darn fit. He's 6'3 and right around 200lbs. Never smoked. Anyhow, his cardiologist has him reading the book "The China Diet". I've read books cited in it, namely Eating to Live. Those readings pretty much converted me to a vegan diet. I have no trouble getting plenty of protein, I'm fit, and I can rest assured that my heart isn't clogging up with all the crap that comes along with animal protein (unless you are talking about organic grass fed chicken, and even that has some crap).
I'd never try to tell anyone their business about diet, but when the vast majority of the cardiologists out there are recommending a diet void or extremely low in animal protein, I'm listening

I meant free range chicken, not grass fed, heh.

Hog's Gone Fishin 05-22-2014 12:48 PM

Beans are all I eat.

Not to mention an incomplete protein source. I can't even remember the last time I ate beans..

I'm curious about the type of "crap" there is in grass fed meats?

Cardiologists have recently been pulling 180's with regards to saturated fats. Just because there are mainstream suggestions or guidelines it doesn't necessarily mean that they're the best course of action.
