They cant score and they hip check and claw you all game. Eventually the refs get used to it, especially Big 12 refs.

But KU played horrible. I knew once they mentioned the team got delayed to the arena for over an hour that this was going to be a struggle. WVU appears to be a neutral maychup for us on paper bcuz we dont turn it over and they force turnovers, but that is all neutralized by the fact that they worry about defending the perimeter and dont seem real good at defending inside. Unfortunately scoring inside is not our forte this year. There is absolutely no way you can dribble drive on WVU at homex the ball handler gets knocked off his spot multiple times ever single possession

Agree with it all. Ellis played well tonight.

They just beat a #1 team for the first time since 1983. If it's not appropriate then, I don't know when it would be.

KU plays a triple OT thriller - literally one of the best college basketball games ever - then goes on the road for a nail biter saturday night.

They were on the team charter at 1:00AM and had to leave in two days for that bullshit.

Forgive me if I'm not overly concerned about a lack of energy vs. a team playing their championship game.

I'm not gonna sit here and trash them after they beat us, or make excuses. I'm not too concerned about the loss, we will learn from it and I don't expect KU to be fighting WV for the conference title in the last week of the regular season.

When they aren't ranked 11.

Perry probably had his best game of the season. Basically everyone else on the team had their worst. They weren't prepared at all for the physicality and pressing style of WVU.

Time to get Bearcat's algorithm out on this one, I guess.

I'm not concerned at all either. That game won't resemble anything we'll face for the rest of the season (other, than, of course when we play WVU again at home...where they'll be reffed completely differently).

47 free throws to ku 21

Have no idea why Svi is on the roster. He needs the Merv Lindsey talk this spring.

This. No excuses. We got beat. We played bad. They played good.

We still have a really good team that is Final Four caliber.

That's what happens when one teams kills the other on the offensive glass

Yep. It's unbelievable. A team that hacks more than you can possibly hack somehow got to the free throw line more. College refs for the win.
