Admitted to driving, huh? Well that changes the game a little.

The question now is the Dallas County PA's office going to try and make an example out of Rice or let him plea to something minor? I would imagine the second.

And make no mistake, he's getting a big fat suspension from the NFL (likely 6-8 games). Just prepare for it now. They gave Willie 6 for a borderline domestic that the only injuries caused were to a Hoover.

The NFL is all over the map with its suspensions, no consistency. (now that i type that, he'll probably get one game)

There is a recent comp with a Jets rookie DB in 2023 (Brandin Echols) that got only one game, although he didn't leave the scene of the accident.

Echols was going 84 in a 50 and left a man partially paralyzed and had to have spinal surgery. Rice isn't getting more than 4 games, most likely 2.

Gotta love this place. Always delivers.

I have no idea how some of these people function with their own real world stress and issues .

Lol....it was speeding, that does not absolve the insurance company's liability.

JFC this lawyer is a dumbshit.

He basically said “come sue us” by publicly stating that Rashee intends to compensate the victims for their injuries and property damage.

Less said the better… but this hack clearly looks to be more of a politician/showman than a competent attorney.

These are the types of posts made when you try to deny it wasn’t clear Rice was driving and on the scene from the beginning.

Yeah, this is the ridiculousness of it all.

I do think Rice will likely get more than one game, which is insane when you think THIS guy got only one game.

Nothing makes sense with the NFL.

Regardless, since it's been admitted publicly by his own Lawyer Rashee was street racing, crashed, and left the scene, he's almost assuredly taking the Wheel of Discipline for a spin.

All he did was admit what the cops have known since Sunday. What’s the point in denying it?

It was a bad idea to do this in an enthusiastic death penalty state.

I kinda of think 3 games is his best case scenario. I’m just basing that on what Alvin Kamara got last year for his incident. Kamara ended up with a misdemeanor plea agreement. Hopefully Rice will too.

Where did he ever admit he was street racing? He hasn't nor has the cops said he was street racing. Street racing in Texas is defined as side by side from a stop, or racing from one point to another. They could try and find proof text or some other means that they were racing to a destination, but nobody is going to admit to street racing and in this case it would be extremely hard to prove. The only video so far shows Rice following a buddy faster than you should and his buddy brake checks and Rice had to veer hard to the left causing this accident. I'm sure they have the speed on one of the cars computer chip, but insurance pays if someone is speeding.

If they start suspending every player who gets into an accident due their error the league is in trouble .

Well, after this press conference, I'm just relieved to know that this place is just down the road.

That's why I think it will most likely be 2. Rice was driving carelessly but did not intend to hurt anyone. Kamara and the others sought a man out and hit and kicked him on video.

Of course, but suspended half a ****ing season? That would be the most extreme punishment relative to the infraction that we've seen in the NFL.

And this is at a time when the NFL has been a bit lax with this stuff recently.

The Chiefs have a target on their back as the best team in the league. If Rice was a starting player on the worst team in the league, he probably would get pretty weak punishment.

And your evidence from “the beginning” that Rashee was driving was… what?

Just throwing shit against the wall doesn’t count.

Until his lawyer decided to admit it today… there was no previous publicly disclosed evidence linking Rashee to being one of the drivers.
