Yep, that's a low-carb meal lol

What I'm talking about is if you're eating 200g/carbs per day (800 calories), and the amount of essential fats you need to be healthy, 40g (360 calories), and at LEAST 120g of protein (480 calories), you're sitting at 1620 calories. And that's if you're hitting it all PERFECTLY. So, what I mean is that if you **** up by even just a little bit, you're going to be hard-pressed to stay in a meaningful caloric deficit, or you risk going under on your good fats and protein.

:hmmm: you certainly know your subject, are you a fitness instructor?

To be honest, I've never been quite that scientific about my diet... if my muscles start getting fat and hard and my cheekbones start looking high n tight then I figure I'm on the right track lol.

Yes you are. Do a Google search for countries with longest life expectancy. USA is way down on the list.

I used to think that I could never give up bread and pasta but after a short break from them the cravings completely disappeared.

I'm certainly not anti-carb I chow on fruits, all forms of potatoes, white rice. You can have both fat and carbs. The only time I get in trouble is when the processed shit gets out of control. Then it's a quick bloat followed by pudge. The whole food carbs don't seem to mess with me much.

No, just well-read on the subject.

Sumo Deadlifted 405 for two singles with pre-workout weight of 176. I'm back up to where I was on dead strength, while 20lbs lighter than when I previously was working in the low 4's.

If it makes you feel any better, I can barely bench 230x3 because of this mother****ing vegan crap I'm doing.

I'm sure that's true, just like anytime I'm deep into a fitness routine the thought of fast food just disappears, don't miss it at all.

I know the carb thing works, I had a work buddy a few years ago who was in that 60-70 pounds overweight range and it just melted off for him on that program, he wasn't even working out either.

I just genuinely like the starches too much, if I'm grilling a big ol steak you can bet I'm putting a baked potato/pasta salad etc alongside it... a heaping side of broccoli just isn't gonna cut it.

Welp - Since I'd injured my back - I've tried to eat right and strictly, since I didn't get the necessary reps I need.

However (with stretching) I've been able to slowly start back w/ the dumbbells.

BTW, Anyone want to buy two kettle bells 35#'s? I will do a special Paypal price of $5per bell + $175 for freight per bell.
