Thomas is the last year of his current contract and he wants a new one. That's what started all the drama with Seattle in the first place. If a team trades for Thomas they are going to need a new contract in place as well and it's going to be a big one. Thomas is going to want to be the highest paid safety in the league, probably more. I bet he's going to invoke the 'playmaker clause' in his contract negotiations.

It is easier to imagine him avoiding tackles.

Or getting penalty flags for his antics....or causing irritation in the clubhouse.

That was the issue with him....you don't know which player you are going to get from game to game....the ball hawking DB or the on field distraction.

It’s kind of alarming that this board seemed to know this defense was garbage months before the actual team did.

You'd have had to be a total mouth breather to not look at that secondary and react with...danger will robinson danger!

They knew. They just didn't expect Mahomes to perform at an MVP level right out of the gate. Expected another year of rebuilding before we were truly ready to compete, I think.

I dont think it means anything cuz that's his thing now...Once I figured out some of my college professors were total dipshits, I used to skip class all the time but show up for the exams. It worked out great!
