KCMO has to be off the table at this point and they're looking at a downtown KCK stadium, right??

The MLB going away from the unbalanced schedule has certainly highlight how awful the central is.

Lawl, at this point the Royals will be lucky to get a new stadium here at all, or anywhere for that matter unless its almost entirely out of Shermans pockets.

Look at the embarrassment the As are going through now. The team and commish ran their mouths about how they were headed for Vegas and Oakland just wasn't feasible, and.now they're at the precipice of Vegas just outright telling them to **** off unless they want to foot the bill almost entirely.

Wish we could just trade this team for an NBA team. A shitty NBA team is 1000x more exciting than this shit.

It's true

Boomerball isn't made for small markets.

My youngest just graduated college and moved to KC, and we've been talking about maybe meeting up and going to a Royals game, but neither one of us are really that interested. I think we are just going to wait and go to a Chiefs game in the Fall :(

Yeah I'll take him to a Chiefs game here in about three years when he's 10. That's the proper introduction to KC sports. Not watching the hapless Royals lose 3-1 on a 102 degree summer day.

NBA blows balls. Horrible league.

Where is this news coming from? Last headline I saw said Las Vegas approved a bill to help fund the stadium?

I'm not gonna make him watch Royals games or probably even take him to any so he might just grow up not giving a shit about them at all. And that's probably the best thing I can do for him as a father. Not subject him to this scumbag org.

Eh I'll probably take him to some. One of the perks of the current stadium is the Little K where he can actually have fun and play games and stuff. That will go away with a downtown park and it will just be watching baseball. Which is torture for little kids.

A new stadium will have more entertainment than Kauffman. That's why they want one.

Is that the reason they want one? To provide great entertainment options for their fanbase?

Kind of. They want all your money is the real reason. To get all your money, they want to be able to offer you more entertainment options both at the ballpark and around it.

The new ballpark would certainly have more suites for more money. It would have more child friendly options for more money. The area surrounding the ballpark would have more venues for food/drink before the game, after the game, and during the offseason for which they will get a cut of the money spent there. Also, since everything is nice and new, they will charge more for all of it.

So yes, you will get much more entertainment and they will get much more money.
