That was a planned thing.

I think this is the same situation we had with Marcus Peters last year. Lots of drama during the year, and then nothing.

I'll bet Veach went to Peters and promised him he'd trade him, but told him to be a team player and go through the motions to keep the trade value as high as possible.

I'm quite sure management doesn't like ET missing practice. It sends a signal to the younger players that it's not important. They should consider trading him.

Something else to chew on here: is Reid really going to bring Earl Thomas in here knowing how disruptive he's currently being and the well known animosity between Russell Wilson and the Seahawks defense? Situations aren't close to being the same but if it's true part of the reason Peters is gone is because of animosity between him and Mahomes, we might not want to invest enough money and draft capital to get him here.

This is not something else to chew on. You have been chewing on your main thesis, which is Thomas has a bad attitude and will be a problem, for days. You are just massaging your approach a bit tying his antics to possible other things now.

Again, Thomas was a model player, and a locker room guy, until Seattle started screwing him over. The details of what occurred have been discussed at length in this thread so I'm not going over them again.

Okay. Stick your head in the sand and pretend it won't matter to the Chiefs organization.

I doubt that matters at all, Sherman was a big issue with Wilson but Thomas is barely even mentioned in that article.

The resentment the Seattle defense had for Wilson had to do with him getting credit for them carrying the team, it's a totally different situation.

We'll see.

It won't IF he can play at a Pro Bowl Level. You mentioned Peters earlier as an example - Difference between he and Peters is that trouble followed Peters wherever he went. That's not the case with Thomas.

Again, I get your point. You're entitled to it. I just respectfully disagree.

Exactly the case.

So I guess we don't have to worry about that in KC. The defense knows Pat is carrying the team, lol

Please don't be ugly - as Dane McCloud is a friend of mine. But he sent me this, yesterday around 6PM Eastern - FWIW

Part of the email -->> Take this with a grain of salt but an agent friend of mine texted me last night that word is that the Chiefs have agreed to give the Seahawks a 2019 2nd round pick and a 2019 5th round pick for Earl Thomas. Now, they're supposedly working with Earl's agent on an extension and deal. If that can't get done, the trade won't happen, I'm told. Anyway, I just thought I'd pass it along.

Have a great day and Go Chiefs!

I'm not saying they wouldn't love to have him. I'm just saying with circumstances being the way they are do they want him enough to pay a kings ransom of draft picks and money? I personally don't think so.

That seems reasonable enough.

That doesn't sound like a bad deal. Guess we will see if something comes of it.
