After that showing on Saturday by the 2 young bigs I don't see how Self can keep them on the bench.

I agree....and I think he will start playing them more as long at they aren't getting 2 fouls called on them in 2 minutes.....Pretty much Self's MO regarding all players when they get in foul trouble.

OU Losing at Iowa State is HUGE for us.

Don't get your hopes up. When we play a team that doesn't suck, they won't play more than 10 minutes.

If the light goes on for one of the freshmen during the roadbump games, they will start to play more against good teams. That's all we can hope for.

Damn that sucks. But understandable. Why would a top 10 recruit come here and ride the bench for most of the season?

Word is Diallo will start tonight. No official word yet; Greene reportedly out after bumping his knee yesterday. No official word.

TambaBerry 01-19-2016 05:04 PM

Well to be honest KU has done WAY better with the 20-50 guys than they have with the one and dones.

Wow Ive never seen Lightfoot that high by anyone else. Rivals has him at 115 or something, but Rivals has really whiffed on their rankings the last five years. ESPN really seemsto be doing the best job right now in college bball recruiting rankings.

We are likely to get at least one of Azubuike, Bolden and Allen though. I wouldnt worry just yet, I think the staff is pretty confident in Bolden. We have virtually no shot at Jackson. Would love to see Alkins but I wouldnt count on it

Lightfoot will probably rise in the Rivals rankings, too. Per usual, Self saw something others didn't. Or do we still think Mason and Graham were simply to fill scholarships?

We will likely lose Ellis, Selden, and Traylor.

Maybe Diallo goes, but right now he's projected as a late 1st rounder. If he comes back, we add Coleby (transfer), Lightfoot and one out of the Allen, Bolden Azubuike bunch.

2017 is the big year.

Prison Bitch 01-19-2016 05:57 PM

Little Birdie also says to watch out for T-Ferg who was making phone calls to the staff before Christmas, not totally sold on Bama. (That should not have to be said in the first place but whatevs).

Yes 2017 is the year. #1 Ayton is in town Sat for Texas game.

Depending on who comes back next year, what do you guys think our starting out ranking will be in 2016-17?
