I think we are many years away from the NBA even looking at this as a problem though (if they ever do). Most fans still seem to like the constant barrage of threes (despite the blowouts it leads to) but they may not as much when every team plays exactly the same style.

The 3 also leads to/allows large comebacks. Not sure why we'd want to lose that.

Comebacks don’t happen nearly as much anymore because coaches are pulling their starters in the 3rd quarter of a blowout. So you ain’t getting as many comebacks and you have way way too many blowouts. The best part of the game is the final few minutes and most games are being robbed of it. I think everyone would give up a comeback or two if it substantially cut into the number of blowouts.

Hurley has no desire to be LeBron's latest scapegoat.

When/where is that happening? I certainly don't recall anything like that in the playoffs.

It’s not gonna happen as much in the playoffs but it routinely happens in the regular season. But about 25 playoff games this season alone were won by 20+ which is way too much And yeah coaches will often quick hook their starters im those games so their players can be a few minutes fresher for the next one. I mean hell, game 2 pacers hooked their starters halfway in the 4th quarter down by 16.

A few comebacks isn’t worth watching 25 blowouts. Game 1 of the finals was a ratings disaster because everyone tuned out by the 3rd quarter

This is the weakest playoff field in some time.

Injuries to Giannis, Embiid, Kawhi among others

And yet the western conference had a hell of a slate. Dallas, okc, Minnesota, Denver. Some real fun teams. An overall real solid western conference and a shit eastern conference other than Boston. Only thing missing is a juggernaut and I’m perfectly comfortable with not having one for a while

That's true.

This year's playoffs is like one giant Eastern Conference 2011-2020ish with the exception of a Lebron team and all of the other hall of famers he played with on the Heat and Cavs.

NBA at the very very least needs to change their scheduling. Limit the back to back to back days let alone when they’re all travel games. And add an extra few weeks for playoffs. I think there are too many playoff games but least you can do is space them further apart

Smart on his part as UConn is a pretty solid gig.

So it looks like porzingis is probable to be questionable again

Yes I meant exactly what I said

KC_Connection 06-12-2024 07:57 PM

The Bucks letting Jrue go (and then him finding his way to their top competition) is a decision they will regret for years to come.
