..then how much a QB throws for is irrelevant...it's just a stat, and doesn't determine victory.

Not crying at all. Hell I started this by calling a guy out who makes excuses for Alex then comes out and says Geno didn't throw for many yards, and also says Geno threw more ints than tds.

You know one is greater than one and all.

I'd love to see W/L records for QBs that average 150 ypg or lower.

average? it's ONE game.

if a team can't stop the run...PASS.

It depends in how the game went.

if the qb threw for two hundred yards in the fourth quarter down thirty points, those yards didn't determine anything.

if he throws for 256 and rushes for 40+ more and wins the game at the buzzer those yards were needed. And most definitely determined the outcome of the game

every play determines the outcome of a game.

again, do QBS throw for 3 hundy and lose?

... and here, I thought wins were all that mattered. :doh!:

The Chiefs get an easy road victory in week 1, and people are whining about some Jets QB and how many pass yards are thrown? There's something bad wrong with people today.

That's why I asked about when the last time Alex averaged over 200 yards a game for a season.

Hell Stevie we didn't rush for a ton of yards either. We created turnovers and scored on them. Something we haven't done with consistency in years. But to count in that week in and week out is idiocy

Well obviously it happens. Quite often. I mean what dies that have to do with anything.

what's more likely, a qb throwing for three hundred or more and scoring 28 points

Or a qb throwing for 150 and the team scoring 28 points?

another obvious post.

But we have 8 years of Alex Smith games and 176 yards is right around his career average.

Who is whining?

And **** dude I'm happy as hell we won convincingly yesterday. But I can see that type of win isn't going to happen every week.
