If I was Arizona I would consider Freeman, trade Leinart to Minnesota for a 2nd and let him groom under Warner.

The Ravens biggest needs revolve around replenishing an aging and free agency raided defense. Bart Scott is a Jet and Ray Lewis is looking elsewhere meaning the Ravens could be without both starting ILBs. Even if Lewis resigns they need someone to play now and groom for later. At corner, Chris McAlister is already gone and Samari Rolle is likely next. They have signed Dominique Foxworth but need additional help at CB.
Unfortunately for Baltimore, the top ILBs are off the board. Any other ILB at this point would be a reach. It's too bad that both Malcolm Jenkins and Vontae Davis are gone as well. However, much better value exists at CB than ILB and one of the two positions MUST be addressed early. There were 3 CBs available under consideration, but one has questions about size, skills and physicality, one has outstanding althleticism but less experience, physicality and technique. The Ravens will go with the third guy of the group who lacks some size but has superior technique and is an absolute playmaker. With the 26th pick of the 2009 CP Mock Draft, the Baltimore Ravens select Alphonso Smith, CB, Wake Forest. |
It's about time you broke away from all that FL college pussy to come make your pick.

The Eagles got McNabb one offensive weapon earlier in Knowshown Moreno and they'll give him another one with their next pick. With the 27th pick in the 1st round the Philadelphia Eagles select:
Brandon Pettigrew, TE, Oklahoma State The Eagles still need another offensive lineman but I didn't think that there was good value here. I also wanted to grab Sean Smith here to be Brian Dawkins replacement but I don't see them taking a CB/S tweener in the 1st round. Pettigrew will fill in nicely and add another target for McNabb as well as be nice blocker for Moreno and Westbrook. The LJ Smith era is over.....thank God. |
