Mike Brown really didn't do a lot to take the job from Pollard.
Now, he played a good game against the Ravens in the season opener, all things considered, but his preseason play was rather unremarkable.

Pollard played himself out of a job.

The fact that he still continued ot make both the same mental and physical errors made that a near inevitability.
