Exactly. I wouldn't quite say that Richardson "went after him" either, unless you call a half a step toward him before going back to the huddle "going after him."

It started at 2, they were out there early, as they are every day, and have been every year since I've watched practices, doing some walk-through stuff. I began walking from the Raymer Field stands when they went into stretching after practice, and was in my car by 4:20, with a stop for a 5-minute conversation.

Battle opening some whip ass on Monte-lol

It really looked weird. Monte went up to hit him, and it wasn't a monster hit or anything, but it caught him on his helmet wrong, I guess. He was staggered as if he'd been punched in the jaw, but neither player went to the ground. Monte took off his helmet and looked at it, and then went right back into the huddle. I was concerned he had a concussion, but he never left. But for a couple of minutes he looked a little woozy.

Battle looked really good when I was out on Sunday. He was running with the 2nd team a lot (Charles with the 3rd), which was surprising. Not sure if that's been a theme, or unique to Sunday - I was only out for one practice...

does it seem like Battle has been here for 10 years?

That's actually pretty encouraging for Richardson. With some dedication to improving his pass-blocking, and a bit of aggression in the running game, he could be a half-decent RT.

I've been saying since this kid was drafted that he has the talent to be a dominating RT if someone can light a fire under his ass.
