If not I say stand pat and take Bradford at #3. We don't need another LT or too reach for a LB or Safety. Maybe Dez Bryant depending how how he test out.

Bradford at three? :cuss: :shake:

Yeah, I've seen about every OU game over the last 3 years and he is the real deal as far as accuracy and arm strength go. The injury issues are the big question. He is a better prospect then Sanchez was last year IMO.

I don't think Bradford is a first round pick anymore.

Because of injury concerns? If you watch the games he played this year he was deadly accurate, but the OU receivers looked like the Chiefs WR's as far as catching the ball goes.

He won't get it out of the top 10.

Brock 12-28-2009 12:11 PM

I guess it's possible. I don't think so.

Injuries and being a spread QB are going to be strikes against him in the draft. Making him going in the first unlikely, and top 5 nearly 0%.

Berry, LB, Gilyard/OL with the first three would be as good as it could possibly get IMO. That would improve three positions of need and if they got Gilyard 2b put three playmaker/impact players on the field(if Gilyard). If they went that route one of two things would have a high probability of happening...

Cassel improves and solves the QB problem(yeah ****ing right, but possible though incredibly unlikely) or Cassel continues to suck making the team as a whole still bad and in a position to draft Locker(much more likely).

Well, for what it's worth Mel has him at #5 overall right now.

1. Ndamukong Suh
2 Gerald McCoy
3. Eric Berry
4. Jimmy Clausen
5. Sam Bradford

I wouldn't be surprised if the Chiefs draft Dez Bryant. Haley seems to focus on the WR group and we don't have a true #1 WR. If Bryant runs a sub 4.5 40 he may be hard to pass up. KC needs a playmaker in the WR corp to compliment JC. We also need a playmaker on defense and Berry is a playmaker. Anyone else concerned about Berry's size for a S? S is a physical position and it seems like the good safeties get injured a lot. Berry is only what 5-11 and 205 lbs. That's not much bigger than a CB.

I would be very surprised to take a safety at #3. There is no history of drafting a safety that high and it ever being worth it. Of course we also took TJ last year so who the hell knows with these guys.

Chiefnj2 12-28-2009 12:26 PM

Berry is a very good prospect but people on this board are making him out to be a lot more than he is.

Dayze 12-28-2009 12:34 PM

what happens if Berry and Suh are gone.

but Clausen is there.

Brock 12-28-2009 12:37 PM

Safety in top 5 is ultra rare, it isn't going to happen.

Shox 12-28-2009 12:43 PM

I think we have a good chance to trade down. The fact the QB class is really very weak should help. If St. Louis takes Classen or Bradford we could be in a great position, because there is just not much else available after these two. So with only one left there could be teams wanting a QB willing to pay.

ChiefsCountry 12-28-2009 12:50 PM

Eric Berry is worth the spot. It wouldn't be a reach either.

A QB with shoulder problems on his throwing arm??? Absolutely NO THANKS!!!

You're looking at the next Chad Pennington. Shoulder problems do not go away. They come back and aggrevate the living hell out of you.
