There's no rift. What I've been told is that Clark doesn't believe in Cassel the way Pioli does and is being more hands on in trying to fix problems, but in the end, Clark will defer to Scott.

Hunt is like a giddy high schooler that he even got Pioli to interview for the job. Pioli saves Clark money by cutting down the copy budget and eliminating unnecessary staff.

This year was on Cassel the injuries and him getting injured gave him a pass, which IMO is shit but whatever.

The fact that this looked like a different ofense with Orton under center should be very telling.

It was more relief than shell-shocked. It was a long, long year for both of them and the way Haley handled the prep and the way the team played against the Jets sealed Haley's fate.

I think Pioli views Cassel far differently than everywhere else.

What's hilarious is that Pioli and BB would have cut Cassel in the preseason of 2008. He was actually one of the last cuts but the lack of progression by Kevin O'Connell and Matt Guiterrez. Guiterrez outplayed Cassel in that 2008 preseason.
