There's no rift. What I've been told is that Clark doesn't believe in Cassel the way Pioli does and is being more hands on in trying to fix problems, but in the end, Clark will defer to Scott.

Hunt is like a giddy high schooler that he even got Pioli to interview for the job. Pioli saves Clark money by cutting down the copy budget and eliminating unnecessary staff.

Clark loves him some Pioli.

Although I don't see any coaches out there that are realy exciting right now.

So Clark wants Cassel gone?

Great. Any rumors on why Pioli seemed shell shocked the day Haley was fired? Something went down that day....

He at least wants competition.

Clark actually listens to fan complaints (if you can believe that). He knows that this fan base is spent with Cassel. However, Pioli will continue to beat that drum.

In the end, Pioli wins. Clark doesn't wear any pants in the relationship.

Pioli called Bill Belichick up hey look I'm gonna take alot of heat for hiring McDaniels can you act like you want him back thanks.

Well thats good to hear that Clark cares. Bullshit that Pioli thinks Cassel is more than he is.

I'm tired of Cassel. He's had three years. Move on.

O.city 01-06-2012 09:03 PM

So what does Pioli really think of Cassel?

Amazing that Pioli is betting his career on Cassel.

If Cassel is back there is going to be a huge fan backlash. Pioli has to see that. If Cassel is back and does good we all look like tools and Pioli looks like a genious. If Cassel is back and stinks it up again Pioli should be fired immediatelty.

O.city 01-06-2012 09:05 PM

This year was on Cassel the injuries and him getting injured gave him a pass, which IMO is shit but whatever.

The fact that this looked like a different ofense with Orton under center should be very telling.

I just have a guess...

It was more relief than shell-shocked. It was a long, long year for both of them and the way Haley handled the prep and the way the team played against the Jets sealed Haley's fate.

Do you think Pioli thinks he's tied to Cassel? Lie if he fails they both fail?

I think Pioli views Cassel far differently than everywhere else.

What's hilarious is that Pioli and BB would have cut Cassel in the preseason of 2008. He was actually one of the last cuts but the lack of progression by Kevin O'Connell and Matt Guiterrez. Guiterrez outplayed Cassel in that 2008 preseason.
