By the time he knows his shit, sure.

But it'll take him another season or so to get there and that's if he doesn't end up shell-shocked first.

Just because Luck and RGIII were turnkey QBs doesn't mean that we're going to get one in Smith, Barkley or whoever. There are far more guys like Eli Manning, Matt Ryan and Joe Flacco that take a couple years to get things ironed out than there are guys like RGIII.

Even Cam Newton had Steve Smith to chuck the ball downfield to last year.

Most quarterbacks, including the guys we now think of as elite, take a little time to get there. That time is significantly diminished by having people to throw to.

We have all seen the stills.

All of those guys can get open...its just that we have a QB that cant find them.

Not only would this move get us the unquestioned top pick in the draft, it would give us additional picks to add more targets if we deem that necessary.

There are currently 19 receivers on Walters that hold at least a second round grade.

RGIII is quite the outlier.

For what it's worth, though, Hankerson is a fine player, as is Santana Moss. Davis is a good pass-catching TE and Garcon is really going to be a big boost for RGIII (and proved it when he was healthy).

Oh, and lets not ignore the fact that RGIII is presently getting crushed a couple of times/wk because he's forced to run around when nobody can get open.

Even Andrew Luck has Reggie Wayne going out there and having a career season for him right now.

Young QBs absolutely need help to learn the ropes. When they're not young QBs anymore, they can make stars out of Victor Cruz, but they need guys to help them get there.

Is Bowe still a FA at the end of the year if he is traded mid-season? Can Miami do a trade and sign, or do they have to wait until the end of the season to do a deal?

Molitoth 10-17-2012 03:50 PM

Bowe is a good player for the Chiefs and he will be a GREAT player elsewhere.

I wish Bowe the best, I wouldn't want to be in this shithole either.

If we ever get a QB worth a shit, he will make whatever WR we have look good.

Who says Pioli is going to take a quarterback with that extra pick (if he even gets a first)? Did he suddenly change his mind about everything ever?

Yeah, Garcon really sucks.

You're dumb.

Every time I see Jimmy Graham I just want to punch someone that Pioli traded up to get an injury prone player when he could have had Graham.

I'm done with this piece of shit excuse for a professional football team. I'll pay attention again when I think we aren't being run by a bunch of ****ing Brain-Dead vegetables lying in a hospital bed waiting for aunt Edna to pull the plug. **** Scott. **** Clark. **** Romeo. **** Daboll. **** Matt Cassel. **** Eric Winston. **** Carl Peterson. And **** this fanbase for putting up with this shit for so long.

Thats an interesting question.

Can other teams negotiate with a franchised receiver even though we cant...or would they just need a handshake deal in place?

It would certainly effect compensation. Why would Miami give up anything substantial for a guy who could walk at the end of the year?

Yep, good/great QB's make everyone around them better.

Then you're ****ing stupid.

This receiver core without Bowe is bar none the worst in the NFL.

Garcon before he broke his foot was going to be a monster.

Baldwin, Breaston, McCluster, Moeaki, Boss, Wylie would do fine with any decent QB. They right now can't amass stats because they are limited by dreadful QB play but with a decent QB, I'm confident they would be fine, especially Baldwin and McCluster could really flourish IMO.

The Bad Guy 10-17-2012 03:53 PM

Laz is probably downloading hundreds of pictures of girls in tight shorts and wacking off at a crazy pace after hearing the news Bowe could be leaving.

They would do better than they currently are, but that in no way is a core you want for a rookie QB.
