I honestly believe that if Lamar Hunt was aware of Johnson's transgressions, he would not have been drafted. I also believe that if Clark Hunt, who at the time had little to noting to do with the Chiefs had known, Johnson wouldn't have been selected.

So you think that the Hunts didn't know about Larry Johnson (their star player and first round draft pick) and his very public run-ins with the law, but they knew enough about Jovan Belcher (an UDFA JAG from Maine) to think that a murder-suicide was in the cards?

Till 1am or 7am. I don't think its normal to leave a 2.5 month old with the babysitter until those hours.

She was his mother, not a babysitter.

Aggrandizement of the situation. As I said, Grandma probably loved being with the child.

Actually, earlier. I normally run on 4 or 5 hours sleep a day. I have skipped a night every now and then and gone to work soon after getting home.

Dammit, I am agreeing with Saul.

I have the feeling that his mom moved in with Kasi from NY specifically because neither one of then were capable of rearing a child.

When you sent out, did you stay out until 7AM when you had to be at work that morning?? Did you get so shithouse drunk that you passed out in your car??

Not being self-righteous; just pointing out a pattern of irresponsible behavior that could have been completely avoided had either (or both!!) had the basic common human decency of staying home with their kid. Not to mention going to meetings and walk-through.

It just seems like no one has personal accountability anymore; call it self-righteous, whatever...but I have not killed my daughter's mother. And I won't. We didn't get along so much after she was born...and we got a ****ing divorce.

Like 'normal' people.

I didn't kill her. Call that 'self-righteous' if you want, I guess...

That was kind of my point earlier this morning.

And it isn't just this board.

The fanbase is fractured. The tipping point HAS to be right around the corner.

I'm seriously about done with the NFL as a whole.

The whole thing is a joke now...and it's not very funny.

They don't.

Larry Johnson's ass was cut as soon as he showed he wasn't worth putting up with.

Yes they have\do.

The only reason LJ was released was because he sucked if he was still playing at a high level they would have kept him around. They kept Dale Carter around, heck half of the 98 Chiefs team was thugs.

You are being self righteous. Look at your first sentence. You are judge and jury about their family life and the supposed need of his mother to watch the child with no proof other than your gut feeling. That is the very definition of self righteous.

I have stayed out until 7 am and gone to work. I was not drunk though. Again you are assuming he was.

It's absolutely true; Ol' Kasi shouldn't have been at some crappy Rhyme N' Bass lusty soft-porn sleaze fest, and Daddy Jovan shouldn't have been out getting drunk and chasing the muff around.

At 1AM, with a 3-month old baby...any decent human beings would have been home asleep with their kid. Especially when one of them has to be at the team facility in a few hours for a team meeting then a walkthrough.

Like, you'd think Belcher would've wanted to be home with his daughter and get rested up so he could put all his energy into trying to win an upcoming game...but in reality, fans probably care more about the games than the majority of players (like Belcher.)

Hate to sound callous, but **** Jovan and Kasi. Selfish fools, natural selection's a bitch. Stay home with your kid, get rested for work. 'Hanging in da club' is about the most ridiculous crock of horseshit anyway. Trey Songz is ****ing terrible; generic, sophmoric digitized BS that is literally about nothing more than intercourse (every. single. song.) If you have no culture, no couth...if you watch garbage, listen to garbage and do garbage thigs, your life will probably be garbage, too.

Stay home with your kids, go to bed early, act like a real family, ****. In America, it's 'cool' to NOT be close to your family, 'do your own thing, be your own person, etc.' There is no personal accountability. Jovan and Kasi were a couple of ****ing idiots, living a hollow, bullshit life - so selfish, that even WITH their ample financial resources, they weren't capable of taking care of a child. Probably why Belcher's mom was there in the first place.

****ing losers.

So if Trey Songz didn't suck in your opinion, it would have been OK? And why did it have to be a "Rhyme N' Bass lusty soft-porn sleaze fest"? If you don't like black music, that's your choice but the kind of concert she went to had nothing to do with Jovan staying out until 7AM and blasting her...

LJ was cut after the Twitter incident...and because he sucked.

Dale Carter was getting in trouble from the moment he got here.

Bam, Tamarick, Andre Rison, Chet McGlockton, Dan Williams, Snoop Minnis...

The Hunts have had some total shitheads come through here.

You're right, she probably did. She also probably didn't appreciate the parents of the kid being out until 1 or 7. Then again she could be there to take care of the kid because the actual parents were to immature.

The Hunt family never would have brought in guys with character issues. That's why Andre Rison was brought in.
