Point is that it is still early. And if Snyder has shown anything it is that he won't quit coaching the kids.

Snyder is a master of getting these kids to realize more potential than they realized they had. Still, a lack of talent is a lack of talent.

I have been to all 3 games, and I keep walking away feeling the same thing each time.

1. Our front 7 is awful

2. We have no depth at Corner, and Dorian Roberts is proof of that

3. Until we start Sams, we are going to be exceptionally limited in the run game. Hubert is not a kid who can play in the backfield without another threat to run the ball - ala CK last year and Sams this year

4. I can not believe how much we speed we lack overall as a team. We are slow everywhere. It's shocking.

5. It's a very marginal team. I see 3 conf wins and that's about it.

Terrible recruiting on the defensive side of the ball.

Hopefully this is just a momentary dip this season and the talent will be better next season. The recruiting class this year appears to be better than last year. If HCBS gets this team to 7 wins, I'd be surprised. I think the Cats can beat Texas, West Virginia, ISU and KU. Maybe TCU at home. That's about it.

I know he's only had about 4 carries, but Rose looked a lot faster than Hubert on his TD. Wouldn't mind seeing one of our backup RBs get more time in there (Robinson?). Torrell Miller can't catch. Baby Gronk is awesome and so is Daniel Sams. If we're not going to start Sams, he needs to be on the field in some capacity.

I think we have a couple decent pieces on defense, but I've been saying since last December that we better have someone ready at LB, because Arthur Brown is as close to irreplaceable as it gets. We didn't. And I don't follow recruiting well enough to know what we have coming in, but I hope there's some speed waiting.

Kinda my thoughts. I think we're a bowl team (especially if we win in Austin), 7 wins or so, but that's about it. And as bad as our defense is, I don't think it's any worse than Texas or Oklahoma State's.

Beat Texas, WVU, ISU, Smurf Turkeys.

Lose at oSu (although I think we can score on them, they'll put up 40+), get destroyed vs. Baylor, lose @ Tech & vs. OU.

TCU is a toss-up. Their offense might be as bad as our defense.

6-6, maybe 7-5. Maybe worse if we drop one of the above four. Hopefully at some point before the end of the year, Sams cements himself as the starter and we have some younger guys step up so we're ready to go next year.


I have a friend who was covering the game & asked Sams about next week & how much he's expecting to play come conference play. Apparently Sams gave him a bit of a smile & said he can't comment on that. Also said Snyder has shown about 20% of the playbook. I'm sure none of this surprises any of you, just throwing it out there.

Until Snyder pulls his head out of his ass at QB this team is screwed.

If he figures out the obvious, KSU will at least be competitive.

Hubie is too tentative. Rose runs downhill, and it shows.
