Yost on Duffy: "The rest of our starters are doing pretty well, too. We’ve got two weeks until…the rosters expand…"
|
More Yost on Duffy: "We’ll let him go down and get another start or two and then come back up."
|
Yost says Herrera, Crow and Holland all available for second game, if necessary, despite pitching in first game.

Good Lord. Maxwell can't even stay through this next game? It's a left-handed pitcher, the reason we acquired him for the stretch run, for God's sake. This is a playoff game as far as we're concerned. Grandma died two weeks ago. The other 59 grandkids can STFU while the most important grandchild does his job.

Because I'd like Gordon, Lough, and Maxwell to be our OF for the next game, not Gordon-Dyson-Lough against a lefty.

We won't score more than 4. |
Denny and Ryan were classic on the radio when Iglesias got nailed.
Ryan: "It looks like Kottaras is appealing this, saying that he offered at the pitch before the ball may have....oh ok. Replay helps us see things that you don't see live...let's just say he got hit somewhere between the kneecap and the belly button...you can figure that out." Denny said something good, but I forget it now... And then Ryan goes..."So Iglesias, who is now a soprano, leads off from first." I'm a big fan of the Fever. He's a damned good announcer. |
