Moustakas' fielding isn't as good as Donaldson's. Does that make you feel better now?

False.

Moustakas dWAR is 0.8

Donaldson's dWAR is 0.9

Very similar.

Lol. Voting for that cop that killed that guy in SC would be the equivalent of voting for Infante

Every year several players start ahead of more deserving players, and people have always laughed it off as just one of those things at the all-star game. No one really gave a damn until it was KC getting too many starters.

THIS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

If CP has any coin leftover from the server upgrade Al deserves a paid-for no-hands BJ (on the board)!

What's ironic is that Donaldson's votes have skyrocketed in the last week while his offensive numbers have plummeted. In his last 10 games he's batting .150 (6 for 40) with 0 HR, 1 RBI, and 15 strikeouts. Meanwhile, Moustakas has batted .378 (14 for 37) with 1 HR, 8 RBI, and 4 strikeouts.

So, while all of Canada complains that Moustakas' lead is unfair, the gap between the two players is slowly but surely diminishing. Sure, Donaldson has more home runs, but overall their numbers aren't that far apart.

Donaldson: .298/.358/.540
Moustakas: .327/.379/.468

Combine that with the star power he earned during the postseason last year, and I have no problem voting for Moustakas.

Donaldson fWAR: 3.8
Moustakas fWAR: 2.2

So, if you're fine voting for Moustakas over Donaldson you are equally OK with voting Luis Valbuena in over Moustakas?

Oh, yeah. I forgot fWAR was the one and only meaningful statistic out there. My bad.

Donaldson's wRC is higher, his wOBA is higher, his baserunning metrics are higher, and his defensive rating is higher.

You do realize that Donaldson will make the all-star team even if he finishes 2nd, right? Hell, he may even make it if he finished in third place. Settle down. All-star games are a joke anyways.

BigMeatballDave 06-24-2015 05:44 PM

The average fan doesn't know or give a shit about WAR stats.

You ahould spend more time voting and less time looking like a whiny girl

If this world were just, Donaldson should have been voted to start in the 2014 ALDS, 2014 ALCS and 2014 World Series ahead of Moustakas.

I mean they both started in the 2014 AL Wild Card game, did they not?

Can somebody explain this?
