You mean like the NFL franchise tag?

The NBA needs something similar. The competitive balance is all out of whack. There are about 5-8 teams too many and only about 4-5 teams with a realistic chance to win it all.

The Rams, Cards, Bills, Browns, Bengals, Jaguars, Texans, Titans, Eagles, Lions, Vikings, Panthers, Falcons and Chargers have never won a Super Bowl.

That's nearly half the league.

How is that competitive?

Bogut getting traded to Dallas. So they get Bogut and Barnes I guess. Not bad if Barnes could ever fulfill his potential.

Moving to LA stripped the Rams of their SB victory? Did Warner lose his MVP too?

They have still produced some competitive playoff games.. NBA will have pure raping in early rounds..

Imagine being drafted into a company without being able to choose.

Yeah, being drafted into the NBA is a little different than your standard career choices out there.

PAChiefsGuy 07-04-2016 12:31 PM

Wow... Just wow... What a b*tch move.

KC_Connection 07-04-2016 12:36 PM

Oh man, this is exactly what I was hoping for.

After completing one of the NBA's all-time greatest chokes, Durant goes to the same 73 win team that he choked to. Heel turns don't get much larger than that. That same 73 win team (who experienced one of their own all-time chokes) admits that they can't beat LeBron James without the help of a top 3 player in the league and the best player on their main conference rival. Quite the submission from a smug and self-satisfied group that seemed so sure that they were better than Jordan's Bulls until LeBron produced arguably the greatest Finals performance ever.

This move should also help further diminish the star of the overrated Steph Curry (which was becoming hilariously over-inflated prior to his game getting exposed in the playoffs) and make an already unlikable Warriors team even more hated. They will have a ton of pressure on them to be better than they were last year and that won't be easy to do (Durant or not).

After winning with Cleveland, LeBron is also now left with nothing to lose in a Finals matchup against such a team and everything to gain. He's already exerted his superiority over all of these guys that have teamed up against him and has nothing left to prove in the back half of his career. He'll be absolutely loving this too, I'm sure.

It's going to be a fun year.

Lebron will have even more freedom in the paint to roam and do his work, lmao.

Lebron absolutely OWNS Durant in head to head matchups. Lebron is a top 10 great.. Durant is just a current generation great atm. I still give the edge to CLE SLIGHTLY, until i see where this season goes.

Yeah but you still have to worry about Curry, Klay and Green. GS is freaking loaded now..

You mean when LeBron was playing with a bunch of bench scrubs and still took 2 games off them?

mcaj22 07-04-2016 12:51 PM

of course Cuban helps out the Warriors since nobody wants to play for the Mavs, what is that Plan Z for Cuban after hes missed on everyone for the third offseason in a row.
