According to her Twitter page, she's a mix of several different tribes. As a resident of Native country, I can certainly vouch for her being far more "Indian" than "Dances with Election Losses", so there's that.

I'm laughing because as ive said on this forum many times before, i noticed as a small child that white people love to claim they're some sort of native american. It's something i picked up on when i was in like...the 3rd grade.

Saying people with white skin can't be Native American is just stupid. It's like saying white people can't be Latino.

Obama is half white and half black, but appears to be black. The singer Halsey is half white and half black and appears to be white.

My kids appear to be white, and are both card carrying members (literally they have cards) of Cherokee Nation. My ex-wife looks white, and both her paternal grandparents are 100% Native American.

Skin color does not always determine race. And as far as the chop goes, I have had members of my ex-wife's family, who grew up on a reservation, tell me that it's not offensive at all, and that if anything about it was offensive, it would be the chant that accompanies the chop.
