Yeah, threads get derailed and can become dumpster fires, but that's just the nature of being impatient fans wanting to know WTF will happen... it's not like we ever make it a point to tar and feather people for posting rumors.

I appreciate people posting what they hear and most take a ton of shit if it doesnt turn out to be 100% correct. Some of the posters here expect someone to post the actual contract or they must be making it up.

I want to encourage others to post what they hear without the fear of immediately being ganged up on. If a poster turns out to be completely full of shit, it will soon be found out.

You spend much of your life on the Chiefs and know a lot of people around the Chiefs so when you hear something, I appreciate that you share it.

Thats not the kind of thing the Chiefs want out there and Andy squashed it. Its still possible that something like that happened and was corrected in house and was never supposed to be for public consumption.

Gotta love veachs approach so far. the guy loves to frontload his contracts. We end up overpaying guys like frank clark and Anthony hitchens early on but we also find ways to get out of those contracts without a ton of heartburn. Wouldn’t doubt tyreek is being approached the same way. It’s win win. Tyreek gladly takes more money up front and the chiefs have some insurance in case tyreek slows down or gets hurt late in the contract.

At some point you also expect mahomes to throw down his bonus card. I don’t see him doing it for mathieu but I could definitely see him doing it 1 time for kelce or hill. Not this season but maybe the back half of tyreeks contract.. Gives the chiefs WAY more flexibility to turn the back half of tyreeks contract into signing bonus if he continues to perform well against the contract.
